Chewy, flavorful, low calorie, and rather expensive.

I have an addiction to sugar free, nearly-zero calorie Lakerol pastilles, ideally in cassis or lemon, and to Ricola's similar lemon-mint breath mints. Because they're primarily made of gum arabic, they're very chewable and give my mouth something to do... and yes, very tasty. The problem being that they're about $1.40 for a .8 oz. box, and I can go through 2-3 boxes a day, no problem. At $28 a pound, that's more expensive than some cigarrette habits!

Any ideas on similarly chewable nearly no calorie candies, ideally in a larger container, in bulk, by the pound, etc?

Does sugar-free violet candy exist?

I'm looking for sugar-free hard candy in unusual flavors - particularly violet or other floral flavors. I'm drawn to candy with strange flavors. I love licorice and ginger, but I'm especially fond of anything that tastes like flowers: violet, rose, orange blossom, etc. Unfortunately, all of the interestingly-flavored candies I've found are full of sugar. (I don't have any dietary restrictions, but having a hunk of sugar resting near my teeth for ten minutes doesn't strike me as particularly wise.)

So I'm wondering if these flavors exist in a sugar-free form. Or, really, any flavors beyond mint, cinnamon, fruit, and sour fruit. I would be over the moon if I could find sugar-free violet candy, but I'm not sure it even exists.

I'd prefer hard candy, but wouldn't mind recommendations for other forms of candy or gum. Additionally, if possible I'd like it to be available locally (I'm in Chicago) and inexpensive.

Thanks in advance!

0 calories, but not a low calorie food--how can this be?

Why are Ice Breakers sours "not a low calorie food" when their nutrition facts list 0 calories? So, I was looking at a package of Ice Breakers Sours mints, which are sugar free, and on the front, right under "Sugar-free" it says "Not a low calorie food." However, the nutrition facts state that there are 0 calories. How can this be?

A Diabetic-Friendly Easter Basket

Does anyone make a sugar-free chocolate bunny with something other than maltitol? My housemate is a tremendous chocoholic, but also diabetic, which means she needs to severely limit her intake. I'd like to put together a nice easter basket for her. Most of the sugar-free chocolate I can find is made with maltitol, which, unfortunatley, tends to cause "gastric distress". Does anyone know where I can find a chocolate bunny made with, say, sucralose, instead?

I live in the New Jersey suburbs of New York City or there should be enough time to make a mail-order from farther away.
