Visual Studio for the confused: I've inherited a C#/ASPX Net 1.1 application from what appears to have been some fairly low-skill software developers. The language, systems environment, and cleaning up the software itself aren't problems, but what the hell am I supposed to do with all this IDE stuff? I need learning resources. [more inside]

I'm doing some consulting as a release manager on a webapp. I recently got the programmers to start using subversion (by turning off their access to their old development areas...) and their own sandboxes, and releases go more smoothly than ever. But I'm getting configuration files that have to be individualized for environments leaking into the trunk, and I want to get my release process down to "type command. hit enter." What to do? What I have: two older PCs.
What I want to do: run some combination of Bugzilla, Subversion, MySQL, Trac and a few other apps that I'm testing from time to time.
What's the best way to set this all up in terms of what goes on which box? Also, any general advice or warnings on conflicts or problems I may come across would be greatly appreciated. [more inside]
