Rhapsody's catalog is pretty good, but poor search and spotty album info are making me unhappy. I want to be able to choose albums and tracks to stream, so I'm not looking for radio. Opera is my priority. Can you help?

YouTube sleuthing question: When you're logged in, the home page shows a timeline of activity from all the accounts you've subscribed to. This is activity like uploading a new video, or liking/favoriting someone else's video. You can also click on a username to see that person's individual activity feed. What circumstances could cause an action to appear in the main feed, but not in the personal one for that user?

Since the magazine hasn't answered my email I'll ask y'all. I was thinking about purchasing the online subscription to the New Yorker so I can read their archives. Anyone know what format the archived articles are available in? Can you only read online or do they allow you to download so you can read stuff on your device? Epub? Pdf?

What is the best deal I can get on a New Yorker subscription.
Last time I renewed my subscription I used the lowest price I found on the internet/mailings and said that I wanted that price and the umbrella. I know they have had $26 deals out there? Anyone got any good offers lately? I saw Amazon is selling subscriptions for a year for $40, on the New Yorker website you can also get a calendar with that. Anything better?

We have a directory of indexed PDFs of back issues of an academic journal we publish. Can I make it so that Google can see the text (so searchers will see when a journal issue contains the keyword they're looking for), but won't give up the direct link to the full PDF? We sell access to back issues and reprints.

Virus Protection at a discount? I use Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 (or internet security in past years) and it's usually $60. However this time of year it is only $10-$20. I currently have 189 days left on my current subscription. Can I buy another copy of Kaspersky 2010 now and install it in 190 days and get another year of service or do I have to buy a 2011 version next year?

What are your
most useful or interesting e-mail subscriptions, newsletters or notifications? I switched gears recently to get more things delivered to my inbox (as opposed to seeking them via RSS or visiting their site), and I've enjoyed the added convenience, and the convenience of centralization around my inbox. I'd like to improve the convenience even further by learning what inbox messages or services you've found most useful.

If you were a web developer who needed to set up a subscribers-only section of a website, where the subscriptions are paid for online (credit card and possibly PayPal), and auto-renew by default, how would you go about it? Would you find a payment gateway that handles auto-renewing subscriptions and use their API to build a little checkout app? Or find an off-the-shelf cart that supports such a gateway, and just set the cart up and enable the gateway? Or is there an altogether better way?
