I was curious as to how many visual thinkers there out there? If there are any who are willing to share their information on this post, I am curious as to whether you have always been a visual thinker or whether this was something you developed? I've seen some great advice on hair cuts here on MeFi and I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm performer and occasionally get the opportunity to get all decked out 1920's/30's style. I really love doing this and would like to do it more frequently but one of the hardest aspects is getting the hair right. I'm going to need a trim soon, can you help me instruct my hairstylist on a style that will be easy to maintain on a daily basis but will allow for the period styling when the need occurs? 125 page document due in in two days - has been behaving fine up to now, but all of a sudden it is messing about with my header styles so when I generate the table of contents I have random sentences from elsewhere in the document. I have been through the text twice now - first time to change all the sentences that had changed style back to the normal style - but when I reopened document it just reverted back to how it was before. Second time, I used the remove formatting function and reapplied the right style, but it has just reverted back again. What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it?

Some of my MS Word docs (Microsoft Word 2003, Windows XP) have been through many hands and have many styles defined. Lots of these styles are garbage. Other than doing it manually (stepping through all of the styles one by one, checking whether each style is in use, and then deleting the styles I don't need), is there a way to remove all styles that are not used in a document?
