I'm having one of my sporadic SOMETHING MUST BE DONE frenzies and booked a haircut for the day after tomorrow but still haven't decided exactly what to do. I need help dialing it in! I have: A (very) round face, thick and straight Asian hair, length but a desire to go short, bangs that are overgrown but not enough to be not-bangs. I want: Killer shorter hair that feels modern and sleek and does not look stupid on me. GO. [more inside]
I'm a mid-twenties woman who grows her hair out long and cuts it all off every few years. Tomorrow I'm cutting it all off again. How do I get the stylist to respect my masculine haircut wishes? [more inside]
Looking for a place or a particular stylist who will cut my queer hair and who may even offer suggestions about style. Snowflakes inside. [more inside]
I'm trying to decide whether or not to cut my hair (as well as how to cut it), and I think I'm boring everyone around me with my endless dithering. [more inside]
Do you have any suggestions for a fun, short haircut for straight hair that will look good on both a guy and a girl? [more inside]
Hi all, I have long caucasian wavy-curly hair, and I'm looking for a stylist who really understands (ideally specialises in) curly hair. Someone who can work with the natural texture and not expect I'm going to straighten it or blow-dry it (complete masochism in a rainy climate...) I'm willing to travel for a good cut so can anyone recommend me a stylist or a salon in London, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam....?
Give me a haircut. I am a youngish guy with a beard that I keep trimmed pretty short. I need a haircut to match. Longer, I-hate-my-current-haircut story inside. [more inside]
Are there any actively good-looking hairstyles/cuts for young balding guys? [more inside]
I want a new haircut. Or hairstyle. Or something. I need advice. [more inside]
I'm a man, and all my life I've had exactly one hairstyle. Now I'm looking to refine my look a little bit. What do I need to know? [more inside]
My other half really wants me to get the modern shag hair style like Brad Pitt's. I have long hair at the moment and I'm not too keen on the change... I think it's too feminine (pink is not the new black) and outdated. Am i being too stubborn?
Seattle or Eastside: Recommendations for a hairdresser specializing in trendy cuts for men, despite the formidable obstacle of seriously thinning hair. This may be my last chance to look young, hot, and fashionable, before my hair declares to the world the world "Going on middle aged and should know better by now!". I have long hippy hair that has never been fashionable. It's disappearing and I'd like a trendy cut at least once before it's too late. It may already be too late. I fear a stylist is going to misjudge how thin it is (the length disguises this) and botch it. So: Who is a miracle-worker hairstylist who can give guys makeovers to hotness?

So I always have boring haircuts. Standard businessman cut type. Cause I'm lazy and hate having to do anything with it in the morning. And this morning I realized it is now at the point where it needs to be cut as it's looking, well, like it needs to be cut. (How it looks right now: me1, me2, me3, though for some reason in the pics it looks a lot less in need of cleanup than it does in real life.) So I'd like to do something a bit more interesting, a bit more daring. Not much, but a little. I'm kind of in a turning myself around mentally state, and it's passing over into things like this. And you know what style (roughly) I like? David Tennant-ish messy. Seen here and here.... [more inside]
I shaved my head a while back and now I want to grow it out again. [more inside]
Is there a "sartorialst"-style website for haircuts? [more inside]
Where can I get a good new hairstyle/haircut in either Philly or NYC? Sick of my current hair and need someone to say "Do this". Bonus points for a specific person and/or under $100 for the cut for a man. [more inside]
If a man is described as having a close-cropped haircut, I picture a nearly-shaved head. But if it's a woman, I see something like a bob. It is just due to the shortness being relative to what is normal for that sex, or does it mean only one of these to you?
