Hey, my spring term is almost over, and its been kind of brutal! But I rewatched Real Genius last night and am feeling pretty okay about things again. What are some similar movies I can stockpile for future terms? Setting should be university, or maybe something post-university with a research/impossible-thing-to-build-but-hey-they-build-it-anyway angle.
I am saving to go to Europe to do a masters degree. I am interested in International Relations, International Law, Human Rights, and European Affairs (history and institutions of the EU, European Law). I'm Australian but I also have UK dual nationality. I am starting to investigate programmes but am finding it hard to narrow down the options and find the best one for me. My question is: how do I work out which master's programmes have the best/ worst reputation?
Hi there, I’m in a conundrum - I hold a Bachelors Degree in Physics and I am currently searching for a Master’s Programme at a German University specialising in the management of Oil resources and/or the relation to Oil and Physics that I studied. [more inside]
Summer vacations are coming up and I am going to use some of my free time to learn physics and math, subjects that I love. In order to do that i asked collegeconfidential.com if anyone had "exclusive study materials" from their university which they could share. I mentioned that I would like to have acess to tests and exams from other universities and I could give some good materials collected by my colleagues of the physics and math course in exchange. For those with experience of undergraduate study at both American and Australian universities, what were some of the most notable contrasts? I'm particularly interested in differences in student culture and in assessment methods / difficulty.
I am interested in people's exam preparation strategies (especially if you study psychology like me). It has suddenly occurred to me that I'm not very metacognitive about my learning. How do I intuit what are the most important concepts (likely to be on an exam, in short-answer format)? How do you pick up on hints from the lecturers? [more inside]

It's only 3 more weeks of my life - but what if I get hit by a bus? I want to enjoy myself but am trying to be sensible
I am 3 weeks away from finishing my first on-campus semester of university. After much though, last week I decided that I will definitely not be continuing my studies - and now I am struggling to motivate myself to finish the semester. How can I get motivated? Or should I just not bother (secretly want to hear this but know it's not sensible, and I should at least try to pass so as not to burn bridges) [more inside]
