I'm trying to find a place that rents out soft boxes/umbrellas for outside rentals in Boston. I have a studio in my school that I am using for photo shoots but I do not have a soft box nor an umbrella which I desperately need. I am wondering if there are any places that rent them out for a day or two. Thanks in advance! [more inside]

Bad Weather Photography-Filter: I'm photographing a wedding this Saturday at a beautiful estate in the country, the main venue being an ancient Tythe Barn. Lovely, but for one problem - according to the long-range forecast, we might be expecting torrential rain during the day so all the formals may need to be relocated inside a very dark building. Please, hive-mind, help a natural light photographer with some tips on shooting groups in a semi-studio set-up? [more inside]

I've been asked to take some headshots for a friend of a friend who will be using the shots for entry into a beauty contest. I don't have a studio or studio lighting. Is there a way to rig up a portrait studio on a budget? What would I need? [more inside]

I'm looking for a place, preferably in New Jersey or surrounding (Philly, NYC count), where a quite lovely young woman can get 40's and 50's style pinup photos done. Both dressed and not-so.
Any guidance?

Methods of Documentation: Getty My Work Onto Slide Film
Next weekend I am participating in an art show, my first in which work will be for sale, and because for one thing, I hung a piece in the silent auction, I have reason to believe I will sell at least one thing. (I have sold work before on commission, but this is still pretty exciting.)
I would like to have, in the future, in my portfolio, slides of any sold work. I do not have a tremendous budget but I'd rather spend a bit of cash than not have documentation of early sold work.
What method should I use to get my paintings and soforth onto slides? (See extended explanation).
Thanks much. I've got until the weekend to figure this out.
