Student discount directory for the Arlington, TX area?

I'm starting my first day as a college frosh tomorrow. I want to take full advantage of everything the college experience has to offer-- like student discounts! But repeated Googling has failed me; I can't seem to find a directory of local business or events that offer student discounts! I live in Arlington, TX. Can the hive-mind point me towards any comprehensive directories for student discounts in the area?

get me student savings

So I only qualify as a "student" for one more year--what student rates/discounts/etc should I take advantage of in that time? I'm thinking of stuff like the Apple university student prices,--not necessarily huge savings, but if I'm going to buy a computer in the next two years I might as well get it now and save a couple hundred. Anything else I should do while I'm still a student? It doesn't have to involve saving money, just something that is easier or more available to a student as opposed to a non-student. I'm Canada, in Vancouver most of the time, Nova Scotia some of the time.

What's a student card and how do I get one?

What's a student card and how do I get one?

I'm about to order a Macbook and I want to take advantage of Apple's student discounts. It looks like I should be eligible (I'm over 18 and I've been accepted into a UK university) but it says I also have to have a valid student card. Should I have one already or is there something I have to do to get one?

Can I use my academic discount?

Can I use an academic discount on software and hardware that I eventually will use to generate money? I am currently a student, yet I also generate money at times.

Apple has the following policy about using academic discounts:

"Statement of Eligibility
I represent that I am a member of one of the defined groups above eligible to purchase and that the products being purchased direct from Apple Computer, Inc. are for my own personal, education, and/ or research use."

Macromedia/Adobe says the following:
What are the restrictions in using education versions of Macromedia products?
Education versions of Macromedia products are intended for instructional and administrative purposes only and may not be used for any commercial purpose. Macromedia will conduct periodic security audits to be certain of your education qualification.

My question . . .

If you are truly a student can they really regulate how you use your hardware/software forever into the future? So for instance if you buy Flash as a student and then freelance when you graduate, you are out of complience?

That just doesn't make sense to me. Macromedia really comes down clearly on the issue, Apple seems a little more lenient for sure.

So first of all, does anyone know where you can find all the intricacies of the rule? And second of all. . . does anyone know of any instances of a company cracking down on academic discounted hardware / software used for commercial purposes (but legitimately purchased and used for academics as well).
