Is anyone else frightened at the apparent ineptitude, lack of transparency and otherwise confusing Direct Loan repayment system in the US?

My loans have been transferred and split at least twice, usually without notifying me. There used to be a fairly easy to navigate website, but now that they are shared between myedaccount and edfinancial, or not. They are unable to give me clear answers. And now it's impossible to even find my full payment history online. I'm not sure if I'm looking for advice or to be held. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Tutoring student with likely neuro problem isn't getting help. Course of action?

I have been tutoring a teenage student for several months and have observed some unusual things, some of them quite worrying. His parents asked me to help him get his online classwork done (he's in a full-time online high school). He had done next to no work on his own, but it seemed he was capable enough, especially with his math assignments, although he needed a lot of prompting and hand-holding for written work. However, he seemed to have trouble walking (odd gait, sometimes crashes into walls) and couldn't type or write very well (holds a pen very awkwardly, very poor handwriting, types with one finger and literally can't strike two keys at the same time). More worryingly, he can't seem to concentrate and often just stares off into space with his eyelids drooping. This problem seems to be getting worse, and on a recent day he told me he needed to "keep [his] brain absolutely empty to get rid of [his] tiredness." I get the impression his vision may be deteriorating too; he seems to have trouble reading text on his computer screen now, which I had not noticed until recently. [more inside]

finding good student violins

My daughter has been taking violin lessons for about 5 years now. Her current violin was a beginner/student violin we bought from a music rental company in the northeast. Her instructor has recommended that we need to get a better violin for her, as she is progressing and is reaching the limits of this violin. Living in Maine, there aren't that many local outlets for reasonably priced/good quality student violins, so there are few options other than the internet. Please help me narrow down my choices. Affordable student health insurance in New York?

I have recently lost my health insurance. While it is possible I will be reinstated to the plan I lost, which is provided in conjunction with my school, I need to be insured again ASAP, and I don't mind the possibility of doubling up on insurance for a short period of time. Help an ENTP narrow down their career path choices....

In the last couple months I've come to realize that I am not alone. My personality is my problem and it is what has made this post-college thing so hard on me. ENTPs are sort of visionaries who can be the best and innovate and succeed at anything we put our heart to but we get bored very easily if we aren't socially, creatively satisfied and doing some "analysis" or "innovation" or "problem solving". We also don't take well to being "told what to do". (Sort of like a cross between Steve Jobs (visionary, creative, secretly self-obsessed) Calvin (from the comic), Jack Sparrow, The Joker, and Wile E. Coyote. ) [more inside]
