How can I not get so agitated by my ill parent's moaning?

How can I not get so agitated by my ill parent's moaning? I live with my parents and take care of my dad while my mom works during the day. He has had medical problems that have left him temporarily unable to move around much, and now he has a yeast infection on his butt that is making just sitting painful at times. I can hear him sometimes moaning in pain in the other room. I can't just put on headphones, because I have to be able to hear when he calls me for help. It's having almost a physical effect on me. I get disgusted and aggravated when I hear this, and the stress is keeping me from getting much done. Is there any way I can manage this?

How to keep my emotions from sabotaging me at work

I'm responding to work stress by becoming (secretly) emotional and non-communicative. I can tell that my reaction is out of proportion to the situation - there is a lot of work and not enough bodies, and everyone in my group is overwhelmed - but I still feel very threatened. People get in my face - I act like I don't care, tell them "yeah, that isn't getting done." And after they leave I cry at my desk (again, secretly). How can I be more calm, cool, and effective? Stuck with a Know-It-All/Pontificator

If I am trapped in a meeting or group with a co-worker who likes to hear himself talk (I mean really pontificate)...how do I go zen on it all? How do I adjust my own frustration? He sometimes has an entourage/fan club which isn't my business but I get really frustrated when stuck with him. He also tends to show up in the same small group parties I have attended. Deep breathing doesn't seem to be helping. I'm thinking about a flask of whiskey.

Dad has heart pain?

My 58 year old dad has been having a squeezing pain in his heart. It has happened a few times, and then just goes away. He went to the emergency room, got a lot of tests done including the stress test, and they determined that his heart is healthy. He has healthy blood pressure and has a manual labor job, and so gets a lot of exercise. The doctor said it might be stress. Does anyone have experience with this? My dad is ready to just try to relieve his stress, but I am worried that it could be something else that the doctor may not have picked up on. Any solutions, including alternative medicine? Thank you!

Should I keep taking Adderall?
