I'm not sure if it was ever linked on Metafilter, but I remember running across a web site where bands could set up online streaming and downloading of their music, with multiple audio formats and multiple pricing options. There were also various visualizers built into the music players. Hive mind, who can help me track down the URL I've lost? It was a relatively recent find in my travels on the internets—possibly late 2008.

Wah! MP3s no longer stream in my browser window in Firefox 1.5 for OSX 10.3.8. When I go to Prefs --> Download Actions, there is no MP3 extension. The upshot is that I have to completely download an MP3 file before I can hear it and even worse, it only opens in QuickTime. Can anyone help me return Firefox to its default stream MP3 setting?

I'm trying to setup Firefox to stream MP3 files from my webserver rather than download them first. I know about creating an .m3u file with a link to the mp3 to do this but does anyone know an easier way, I'm not going to create .m3u files for 90,000 songs.
