How can I make an aluminum aebleskiver pan work on an induction top?

We've had an induction stovetop for a few years, and it's great, except we had to replace our pots and pans. We only now realized our aluminum aebleskiver pan doesn't work. Crazy idea: fill one of our induction pans with water, and set the aebleskiver pan in that. Would that do something bad to our induction pan or make the aebleskiver's turn out weird? Is there a better solution (besides getting a cast iron aebleskiver pan)?

In search of baked goods that don't need baking

After a ludicrously protracted search, I've bought a house, and I'm moving soon. Hooray! But the kitchen is long past its prime, and in particular, the built-in oven looks to be pretty awful. Dealing with that is high on the priority list, but other things are higher, and realistically I doubt I'll be able to get to it before next year. And that's rather a shame, because I enjoy baking, and enjoy bringing the results to work for colleagues to devour. So, please help keep me sane by suggesting your favourite non-baked baked goods. Can I heat this?

I accidentally put one of those plastic sheet protector things (with paper in it) onto an electric burner that was switched off but still hot. I didn't realise it at the time and came back to a neat hole in the sheet protector, some scorch marks on the paper and some of the plastic melted onto the burner. Thankfully it didn't catch fire. It's a coil burner. My question is: what's the best way to deal with it? [more inside]

Perfect Pork Chops?

I have bought the most expensive, most organic and local and mollycoddled pork chops in my life. I do not want to waste this experience. Please tell me how to make the perfect pan-fried pork chop in agonizing detail. I own cast iron pans and I'm going to serve it with asparagus - that's the only limitation. Otherwise anything goes. Teach me the wisdom of Pork Chopery.

Natural Gas Smell

I did something colossally stupid this evening: Put up some pasta on the stove and then fell promptly asleep for a little while on the couch. Woke up to a terrible smell of natural gas. Found the water in the pot had spilled over and doused the flame of the burner it was cooking on. With the gas on high. It was probably like that for about 10 minutes or so. And now, four hours later, the house still has a strong-ish odor. Here is my question: does the smell indicate that gas is still present in the house, and if so, should I be concerned for the health and safety of my small children, who are sleeping a hallway away from the kitchen? How to use a stove top espresso maker?

Should all the water "empty" out of the bottom of a stove top espresso maker? If so, what could I be doing wrong, because half of the water remains in my espresso maker? I put the pot on medium, I don't over stuff the maker with espresso, and I don't fill the water over the valve. Thanks in advance! [more inside]

Oh crap. I'm so screwed.

Help! Stove emergency. Left ceramic pot on stove too long, and now stove top has a hairline crack across half the stove, and is now chipped (about 2 inches by 4 inches) where the pot had melted. [more inside]

You dont get how important this is to me. Or maybe you do.

When I use my stove-top espresso maker on a propane stove, it doesn't work well, but when I use it on a natural gas stove it works great. [more inside]
