I once encountered a children's picture book, in which there were 4 pictures per page. Some of the pictures tightly related to the text on that page, but others did not make a lot of sense until later pages of the story. The narrative was thus a bit non-liner and ambiguous, with the idea that children would enjoy pointing out connections that are not immediately obvious. I believe that there is a train in the story. Unfortunately I cannot remember the title of the book or the author. Does this ring a bell to anyone??

It's probably a long shot, but I'm looking for an old (1980s or older) children's Bible story book I had when I was a kid. I can't quite recall the name, but it might have been called something like "The Children's Bible Story Book." What I remember most about it were the awesome illustrations. Can anyone help?

BookFilter: I had this book as a child, it contained a number of solomon-like tales, (two mothers claiming a child, true mother didn't want it cut in half, etc.) Except with an Asian flair. It was called Judge Edo, Ito? Anyone?

I need some common childhood misconceptions about Santa. For example, "If you are not at home at Christmas, Santa will think you will have moved and not leave any presents!" Something that children would believe (or make up on their own) and be terrified of.

my favorite book when i was a kid was a book with a series of 2-minute or so short stories. inside the front cover there were pictures that symbolized the stories and i would point to the one i wanted my dad to read. i remember some of the stories. one story was of a little girl who wanted a yellow raincoat. a second story was about a boy named Pele or something. a third story had to do with Couscous the detective. i have a 1 yr old son and i wanted to get that book for him but i can't find it. anyone have any ideas what this book might be called or how to get it? thanks

When you're a kid, adults tell you fantastic stories. Which ones did you believe?
