Apple App Store Filter: A few weeks ago I stumbled upon an obscure blog that appeared to be written by an anonymous Apple App Store reviewer. I think it was linked to via Gizmodo or Engadget 2-3 weeks ago. Now I can't find it. [more inside]

I need an antique (or sufficiently vintage-y-antiqu-y styled) trunk for my living room. Problem: every piece I've seen to has been too big, too worn, too ugly, or too expensive. Where would I find stores/markets/fairs/dealers in the NYC metro area that might carry such trunks? I got a zipcar, so I can tool around the tri-state area. Insanely detailed requirements follow. I'm looking for a store in New York City (Manhattan and Brooklyn, ideally) that sells ethnic and sterling silver jewelry.
The store could have clothes, accessories, or art, but it should have a significant amount of jewelry for sale.
Can anyone help me out? I'm of course googling on my own, but this is the kind of place you would know when you see it, and I can't walk all the streets of NYC.
Thanks for any leads.

I found a shirt that has MHB on the front with a the outline of a shape just below the MHB letters. The back had small text saying, "the College Store". I can put the outline shape picture up here but I figured that some one would know the answer without that - any help? What does MHB mean?

Can you think of any examples of a retailer that has both a chain of physical stores and a "shop online" section? I've been helping out a friend who owns a knitting store with his website, and now that he's expanding I think we need to rethink the way his site works. I'm just wondering how other people organise things like stock levels when more than one physical location is involved. [more inside]

I'm not sure if it was ever linked on Metafilter, but I remember running across a web site where bands could set up online streaming and downloading of their music, with multiple audio formats and multiple pricing options. There were also various visualizers built into the music players. Hive mind, who can help me track down the URL I've lost? It was a relatively recent find in my travels on the internets—possibly late 2008.

I'm writing a shell script to take a webpage and convert it into a text file. I'd appreciate tips as to how to store URLs, save the file with the URL's title as its name, and also just general tips as to how to improve the script and/or achieve the process better. I'm interested in developing iPhone/iPod Touch applications, however my understanding is the SDK only works in OSX. I have a XP desktop and a Vista notebook with an AMD Athlon and Turion (both dual core) respectively, both pretty good machines. Is there any way to avoid spending serious cash buying a Mac just to get into iPhone development?

I've got 54 silkscreened t-shirts split irregularly among several different designs and sizes. I'd like to sell them online as easily as possible and giving up as little commission as possible. EBay seems like too much effort for that many. I didn't make them myself -- I designed them and had them custom made -- can I still sell them on Etsy (and would that be any easier)? Better yet, is there somewhere I can make a quick online store and set up an inventory and it'll handle most of the heavy lifting (credit cards and/or Paypal, too) for a small fee?

I know a local dirt track racer who mainly races sprint cars, and is very, very popular. The racing team is looking to seel merchandise-- t-shirts, hats, posters, beanie-baby-type stuffies, and the lile, and they'd really like to do so in an eBay store. [more inside]

I've been tasked with finding an e-commerce consulting company to help guide us (we are a wing of a fortune 500 company) through the entire e-commerce process. Not so much creating it necessarily, but more guidance/consulting.
My google-fu is yielding all fluff. Ideally, looking for "Company X helped Barnes & Noble switch to an online storefront" type of info, so I can back up any suggestions I might be able to make.

But I would like to actually look at them and feel them before buying. So I prefer if there is a store that sells them in the bay area. I am in mountain view.
Even if the place is expensive, at least I can see what I like and order it online from somewhere cheaper.

Is there any easy way to sell downloadable electronic documents (PDF format) on the web? I'd prefer that it be closely integrated into the interface of an existing website that I maintain. I'm looking for a system where someone chooses a document they want to buy, pays through a third-party site (and the third party then passes the money on to me), and the document is instantly made available to the customer. I know about sites like Lulu.com, etc., but I would prefer that this be done on my website.
