Hi all... long time listener, first time caller (poster)
I have almost 100 DV/HDV tapes that I have recorded since about 2003.
I have not been the best at labeling all my tapes, especially not lately since my twin sons where born.
At the moment all my tapes are stored in a box in a drawer :-\
I am looking for a good method of cataloging and storing my DV/HDV tapes.
Does anyone have any great, cheap and maybe do-it-yourself solutions for storing tapes.
For cataloging I could imagine a google docs document or something, but if anyone has a better solution I would not mind.

I have a motorcycle (1983 bmw r100) that I would like to protect from the harsh Massachusetts winter. I would also like to take this time to do some work on the bike. I do not have a garage so I need to rent a place. Am I able to do repairs on a vehicle in a self storage facility? If not can you think of the type of place that would allow this?

My shoebox is too small. I'm looking for a box, somewhat larger than the ubiquitous plastic shoebox, and taller, with a separate removable tray. I need to expand the number of supplies in my first aid box, but the resident FA assistant prefers a single layer of stuff in a box, rather than a multi-pocketed bag or a multi-layered box. I've seen toolboxes that are kind of what I want, but they'd get mixed up with the actual toolboxes that also get packed. The two-layer toiletries/makeup boxes I've seen are too small. I've poked around The Container Store's website, but didn't find anything useful. Any ideas?

I want to hang stemware upside down under a shelf in my kitchen, but it isn't a deep enough shelf for the racks I've used before, or really for more than one glass. What can I use? Hanging them in a track that runs lengthwise under the shelf is an option. Does that track exist?

i'm about to embark on a document-imaging and archiving project. i have dozens of handwritten notebooks, a 7 megapixel camera, tripod, macbook, and large external drive. is iphoto going to be useful for this? (or sketchy i may use a separate iphoto library on an external drive?). are alternative software/strategies preferred for managing all these document images? (in case it matters, i'm not
interested in putting them online at this point).

If I buy an oversized item at Target (i.e. a box of Milkbones or a pack of toilet paper), the cashier will slap on a very strong, heavy-duty strap with the red Target logo on it. It's almost like duct tape, except stronger and the sticky portion is only on each opposite end. What is this stuff called, and where can I buy a generic equivalent?

Alternative for chest of drawers to keep clothes? I'm moving to a new apartment and don't feel like lugging a heavy chest of drawers 3 stories.
What are good ways for you to store clothes that makes it easy to access most of them daily and doesn't look too "ghetto"? Plastic drawers are an option of course.

I'm looking for some best practice advice in moving my iTunes music and my iPhoto images off my local hard drive. The 160GB drive on my Macbook is about full. I know I can use a USB/Firewire/Network-attached external hard drive, but has anyone had luck using a service such as Amazon's S3 for this. I know if works fine for storing the files, but how usable is it to actually 'get' the files? [more inside]

When I receive photos in my yahoo email from family and friends, what is the easiest way to download them to picasa? I have picasa on my computer and I also paid $20 to have picasa storage on the internet.
It seems very time consuming.
Also, is there an easy way to put all my photos that are on my computer to the picasa storage on the internet?
Thank you so much.
