Is there a UK supplier of stationery designed to remain, erm, stationary? We need some for students to use in the academic library but don't want it to be broken or, ahem, grow legs. [more inside]

I love stationery and letterpress and prints and graphic design generally and, for fun, I'd love to learn to make my own. Right now, I spend a lot of my down time oohing and aahing over pretty paper products on Etsy and at Design Sponge. I make my own party invites, cards, gift tags and wrap - but just in a cobbled together kind of way. I'd dearly love to learn to design and print lovely things like this and this and this. Where should I start? [more inside]

Anyone know where I can get a stash of Kyokuto Expedient Notebooks, DOT 5mm space? They are apparently made in China and I've only ever found them at Kinokuniya stores, but the San Francisco store told me last night that they are no longer going to be carrying them, which caused me a mild panic attack. The internet mostly points me back to this Askme thread, which is delightful, but does not solve my problem. Help me, clever and resourceful Mefites!

hey folks! I'm a new to New York-er (the city, that is), and have done some serious googling and asking around in the "real life" and have not had any luck finding smallish stationery/gifty stores that carry paper goods-- along the lines of what are fairly common on the west coast where I'm from. a little bit.. What is the best resource, be it a site, book, whatever, to assist those unlucky enough to have to create stationery files for MS Outlook 2003? CSS supports seems inconsistent, and even table-based layouts don't behave as expected, or even as they do in IE.

beautiful color embossed blank cards - do they exist somewhere? I got some lovely gold-yellow (pumpkin? goldenrod?) blank cards, with embossed borders, at Staples a year or two ago, and they looked great with a simple one-color picture printed on them, but now I can't find anything like them.
