I'm looking for the title of a audio-cassette album I owned sometime in the 1990s, which had the themes of various Star Trek movies and, particularly, tracks of sound effects of the ships warping that I believe were unique to the tape (as opposed to having been taken from the films). [more inside]

At some point in the mid-to-late 90s, I found an audio file (might even have been a .wav because MP3s weren't huge yet) that I'd like to find again. It was a fan edit of vocals from episodes of Star Trek:The Next Generation that strongly implied that Jean-Luc Picard and William Riker were lovers. [more inside]

In Star Trek: The Next Generation: Are there any explicit examples, in either the show or the non-canon supporting materials, of Data holding a specific image in his mind? Does he ever say anything like, "I am picturing ____" to explain, in visual terms, what he's thinking about? Does anyone ever direct him to "picture" something?

I've recently come into an embarrassingly large trove of Star Trek fiction (382 novels, to be precise). Now, I'm Trekkie enough to debate the relative merits of different Enterprise captains and maybe play a video game or two, but these waters are far too deep for me. Can anyone help me find (or construct for me) a guide to Trek novels?

I'm looking to buy blu-ray versions of all of the Star Trek movies. Problem is, I just want high-quality versions of the VHS tapes I had as a kid in the 80s and 90s (because really, most of the allure is nostalgia here). I don't want director's cuts, special versions, or anything like that- just the original VHS releases. Amazon is confusing the hell out of me, because there are about 40 versions of each movie and I'm not sure what is what. Does anyone have a link to the original movies, for sale, on blu-ray?

Free Enterprise (1998): Robert: "She's a hot little spicy salsa number." 15 minutes, 13 seconds into the film. Who is he doing an impression of? If not a particular person, what archetype or accent?
As a 10 year old child I went with my mother, myself and my 7 year old brother went to EJ Korvette's on 46th Street to meet an alien. Well, actually it was Leonard Nimoy (in full makeup and costume) as Mr. Spock. It was 1969 and he had just come out with his new album Mr Spock's Music From Outer Space. We were in a crush of people. My brother was having trouble with the crowd. The store was packed. Finally my mother snapped and dragged us out of the store screaming, "My son is suffocating, get out of the way!" Anyway, after hysteria by yours truly, we went back. The crowd was gone. Someone took the album from my hands and sliced the covering plastic with a razor. I didn't care. I was looking up at Mister SPOCK from my favoite show of all times! I wanted to say something, anything. But my throat was dry. My brain useless. He signed the album. He signed it... Spock in cursive. I still have this album today. Is it worth anything? Other than my memories and the original price? Leonard. I love your photos. Call me...

I came late to sci-fi. And even when I started getting into it, Star Trek seemed so sprawling and deep, I didn't know even know where to begin. But now that the new movie's out and people I love and respect say things to me like, "You know how in Star Trek The Next Generation ..." well, I'd like to find out what I've been missing. Given that I have a full-time job and a lovely SO and don't want to jeopardize either, what's my point of entry? And the itinerary/order of operations thereafter?
My gf and I are very exited to see the new Star Trek movie. Neither of us are, or have ever been, Star Trek enthusiasts. Prior to seeing the Watchmen, we read the book, and it was great. Help us prepare for this epic cinema experience. [more inside]
