Are there enough stars to "cover" the sky?

Today's new image of the Pillars of Creation formation show many stars in the background that I've not seen before. That made me wonder: are there enough stars in the universe such that the sky could be covered entirely by starlight? [more inside]

Disneyland Filter: Disney-themed iPhone game app to play in queues?

Having read every previous wonderful Ask about Disneyland in Anaheim, CA, I've discovered that some of the game apps that folks here recommended a few years ago are now nowhere to be found on iTunes or the App Store, etc. Please help me find a cool, Disneyland-themed app to play on my iPhone with my 7-year-old DS while we wait in the lines during our upcoming trip to Disneyland. Where to see the stars (the space ones) +/- 2 hours from LA?

Good news: After a long period of being broke as a joke, I fell into a little bit of cash. I'd like to take the lady friend on a trip. She recently mentioned that she'd never seen a real night sky. I'd like to change that. Where, say, plus/minus 2 hours from Los Angeles can two young folk go see a sky full of starts? More inside. [more inside]

What does space look like when you're in space?

Once you've flown away from the Earth what's the view like during interplanetary travel? Do planets look as they do on Earth, or are they brighter? What about the stars—or does the sun wash out a lot unless you're in a shadow? Aside from very bright, what does an unshielded sun look like? How far do you need to travel before you loose sight of the Moon? Is any of this like playing Kerble Space Program? [more inside]

What were these flying 'stars' I saw yesterday evening?

Yesterday evening I was looking at the sky and noticed a star like object flying across the sky. As I watched I noticed there were 5 or so more... and then a moment later even more, perhaps 9 or 10, moving at the same speed across the sky, South to North, at a rather slow pace, yet I got the impression they were very high up so in actual fact moving at some speed. I called out to the wife to see them and she saw them also. So I guess the question is, what objects flying across the sky may look like stars moving? I thought satellites but never thought they flew in clusters like that. [more inside]

Dark sky, cheap telescope, totally inexperienced operator. What can I see?

Astronomy/Skygazing Beginner: I'm gonna be camping out in a dark place, and I have access to a cheap low-consumer-grade telescope. Is it worth it to take it? What could it see? Overrated Stars

HollywoodFilter: Who are the Most Overrated Stars in ShowBiz?
Full Disclosure: This is research for a paid writing assignment on the subject. (And I'll be sad but accepting if Matt chooses to delete) I usually rely on my own opinion and depth of knowledge, and have been Google-fishing this like crazy, but this topic is so general that I want as many outside suggestions as I can collect.
NOTE: I am not looking for the latest teen queen lip-syncher or reality show discovery, I'm looking for candidates with a longer, more successful showbiz career than their obvious level of talent deserves. Actors, singers, comics, 'personalities', maybe even writer/creators. William Shatner (IMHO) is my poster boy. (And no dead people, please)
