Sports bars in Columbus

Looking for a sports bar in Columbus, Ohio, at which to watch Friday's NCAA tournament action. I have some specific criteria. I'll be passing through Columbus today (Friday) and need a place to watch the tourney games. Please maximize points according to the following criteria:

100 points if they have HDTV

2 points for each TV they have

20 points if it's near the airport or Westerville, or in between

20 points if it will be easy to find a few seats at 7:00 on a Friday night.

Minus infinity points if they have HDTVs but don't actually have an HD signal. I hate watching a perfectly good HDTV go to waste with a standard signal. I'd rather not watch the tournament at all.

You don't actually have to tabulate the points, but your recommendations are appreciated.

Best way to watch regional sports out-of-region?

What is the best way to watch a regionally televised college basketball game if I'm not in the region? The UofArizona men's basketball season starts this week! Tomorrow night, actually. Alas, after many seasons in Tucson I have recently moved to Los Angeles and out of FSNAz's region. I have basic cable but cannot afford a sports package. I wouldn't mind finding a comfortable place nearby that provides refreshment and sports television. In Tucson I knew of a sports bar that handed out/rented little radio receivers tuned to televisions at each table—something like that would work, but if I could find a way to pull this off and enjoy hawt Wildcat action from home it would be awesome. If it must be a sports bar, please let it be near to—if not floating in the middle of—Echo Park Lake.

I welcome all suggestions, recommendations, and ideas. Thanks!

Sportsbar in SF?

Where's the right place to go out and watch the NFL season opener in SF tomorrow? I'd like to go out and watch the NFL opener tomorrow. I'm thinking this requires a sportsbar that receives the NFL Network and which, ideally, would have a couple of HDTVs tuned to it and actually showing the game, with audio. Hopefully the place would be attractive enough to folks like me that it would have other football fans in it, as opposed to a bunch of skinny, tattooed hipsters who want my head on a pike for interrupting their post-Burning-Man conversations with football talk.

I live in the North-of-Panhandle area and wouldn't mind a 30-45 minute walk to get to this place; I'd prefer not to drive or take mass transit, although a short streetcar ride might be OK. I will not take the Muni bus for any reason, because I hate it.

Bonus points for a place with cider or some other gluten-free option on tap. (Most beer contains gluten.)

Free Cable anyone?

What's a good way to watch a sports game that we can't get at home? I realize this may seem like a stupid question, here it is anyway. At 7:45 pm, the Auburn-Florida game starts, and my wife and I are desperate to watch it. Unfortunately we're poor and can't afford cable, so we don't have ESPN and all of our friends are basically too poor as well.

We'd love to go to one of those restraunts with tvs, but we just don't have the money to really eat out again. Remember? We're poor.

Is this just the plight of the relatively poor student? Is there nothing we can do, or are there others who have found solutions to this problem?

I'm pretty big on not being an annoying moron, so this is as much an ettiquette question as anything. How much must I spend at a sports bar? I don't drink, neither does my wife. Is this a problem?

Help, we only have 3.5 more hours!

Empty bar, open early, with TV?

New Yorkers: Please help me find a bar that will (a) be open at 2 on Saturday and noon on Sunday; (b) be willing to put swimming on the TV (that is, be pretty empty); (c) is near the J, F, or Q. I don't have a TV and neither does anyone else I'm willing to subject to swimming, but the Pan Pacs will be on & I'd really like to see them. I would like to avoid the ESPN zone, even if it would show it. Thanks.

Chicago? Going to be there March 4th through 7th. What to do? Where to eat? I'd like some good greek or chinese food, or both. Oh, and I need to find a sports bar there that will be showing the Duke/Carolina game on Saturday night.
