Help, and quick! Water leaked down from a second floor bathroom into the kitchen ceiling, and it's dripping around the speaker in the ceiling. I need to remove this speaker to let the water drain before it ruins huge swaths of the ceiling. But I can't figure out how to get the speaker grille off!!!Pictures inside.

My PC's speakers have learned a new trick: they randomly start outputting loud, constant static for long periods of time. Why are they doing this, and more importantly, how can I stop it?

I have a pair of stereo speakers that I want to use with my computer. My old receiver broke, so unless there's some way to hook stereo speakers directly up to a computer, I'll need a new one.
I want to find an inexpensive receiver that can turn on automatically when it gets a signal. I don't want to have to walk over and turn it on every time I want to play an MP3 or have to remember to turn it off. (I think my old one broke because I'd just leave it on all the time.) The only other thing I'd use it for is playing DVD audio, so it should work with that as well.
What's the best receiver to use for computer audio that will detect a signal and turn on by itself? Or should I just lose the stereo speakers and get a pair of computer speakers?

A friend of mine has told me about something called shotgun speakers and I'm fascinated. Basically, as her described them, they broadcast a sound in a very narrow beam so that only the target the speakers are pointed at will hear the sound. Is that true? How do they work? And more important, where can I get my hands on some? I'm a reality TV producer and I can think of dozens of applications. At least three of which may be ethical.
