I'm looking for a simple awesome speaker that I can plug my Nexus 7 tablet into. I've used a set of desk speakers in the past, but I hate how there's two of them and the cords get all tangled. I'd ideally like a single speaker that plugs into the wall; something I can blast some sweet tunes on in the kitchen, and then pick it up and move it to the bedroom with a minimum of fuss.

I have an old (30+ years) pair of speakers, and the foam rubber surrounding the woofers is cracking and falling off. Numerous DIY websites explain how to replace this foam, but none seem to answer the most important question: why would you bother doing this? The speakers still make sound.

The internal speaker quality on most cellphones I've tried seems abysmal, yet no one else I've talked to seems to notice/care -- even those whose cell phones I've tried and which are terrible in exactly the same way. So: (i) Have I just had a string of bad luck with cell phones? (ii) Does anyone else notice this? and (iii) Is there a cellphone review site that actually rates speaker quality on cellphones? Or, better yet: (iv) Are there cellphones that have an equalizer I could use to adjust the speaker to my heart's content?

My boyfriend has a Phillips 32" in flat LCD HDTV, that appears to be from 2006 or 2007. The screen seems to still be in great shape, but the speakers have developed an annoying buzz. Is it likely that the speakers could be fixed at a reasonable cost, or do we need to junk the tv completely and just get a new one?

We live in South America and our son is in need of a native English speaker to work with him on pronunciation. There is no one here who can help, but as luck would have it, we have a relative in the states who is a licensed speech therapist who can help over Skype. We're looking for camera and speaker suggestions for both sides - assuming we have solved the bandwidth issue, is there a camera for a PC that would be ideal for this? Are there other speech professionals who have done this before?

I want an iPhone dock to put by my bedside - I've seen cool ones that turn the iphone into a clock display when you plug it in, but I want one that works as an alarm clock with time even without the iphone plugged in (though sync/synergy functions are cool and appreciated).
