A sweet mama cat and her kitten were abandoned at a friend's house outside of Austin. I agreed to foster them for a bit, but we're going on week three, and tensions are building between the fosters and my two regular kitties. Bonus complication: Mama cat has now gone into heat (I think). Yikes.

We just adopted
two kittens, YAY! They are from a shelter, so they just got neutered and spayed today, but they are actually too small for the smallest e-collars (which we have). Thus, problems.

I just took my ~13 week old pit bull puppy to get spayed. The post-operative say to keep her indoors for 7-10 days . Right now, she's outside during the day with our other dog, and she's crated at night only. Can I expect this to go smoothly?

I took a year-old semi-feral cat from our small local colony to the feral sterilization clinic to be spayed on Thursday (3 days ago). She nearly died, but survived a second round of surgery that night. She's healing, per both her vets, although is still uninterested in food or water. Also, she likes the effect of her pain relief but won't let me give it to her. Suggestions?
