Where can I find a generic superhero costume? Someone else's AskMe question (actually, my answer) made me decide to be Moleculo (The Molecular Man!!!) for Halloween. Trouble is, where do I find a generic superhero costume?

Google yielded a ton of Halloween costume sites, but they all have specific costumes (Batman, Wolverine, etc.). And I need a non-specific costume. Imagine Superman, but instead of an "S" on the chest, an atom symbol.

Looking for superheroine costume ideas. My girlfriend and I are going to a wedding where everyone is being asked to dress as a superhero of some kind. It doesn't matter if the superhero exists as a character or not, they just have to exist in someone's mind. The problem she/we are having is that there just aren't a lot of cool female superheros out there, and the one's who are out there are done to death and mostly cheesy.

So here's where we're trying to get:
Smart/sciency (she has a masters in frogs)
Involves big stompy boots
Spandex or fishnets encouraged
Might date Particle Man (my costume)

Ideas about where to look for stylish costume ideas would also be most welcome.

Dying cotton clothes without shrinking them?

Is it possible to dye white shirts and dark blue shirts (both 100% cotton with a shelf bra that is 95% cotton/5% spandex) black without shrinking them? I have some shirts that are white and some that are dark blue that I would like to dye black. All of the shirts are 100% cotton with shelf bras that are 95% cotton / 5% spandex. I have read about using fiber-reactive dyes that are supposedly "cold water dyes" but they still require very warm water. How warm can the water be before it starts to shrink the clothes? Are there any dyes that work in actual cold water? Any shared experiences would be helpful! TIA!

Trying to find a specific pair of stretchy Starter shorts!

Anyone know where to buy these simple Starter stretchy shorts? Here's what they look like. I bought a pair at Walmart a little more than a year ago and loved them. I left them at my cousin's last month (really far away from home) and have since been looking to buy another pair, but, save for the above webpage, I haven't been able to find them anywhere — locally or online! Has anyone seen these around? They haven't stopped making them have they?! They're seriously my favorite shorts. =P Thanks, all!

Will 96% cotton and 4% spandex shrink in the dryer?

Will fabric that is 96% cotton and 4% spandex shrink in the dryer? There's a certain garment I want to buy, but only if I'm able to shrink it a bit, since it's too large for me now. Google tells me to always dry spandex on low setting, but I'm assuming those are instructions for people who DON'T want to shrink their clothes.
