Gmail hacked - lots of spam sent - nothing in sent items

My Gmail account was very definitely hacked on Sunday. A whole lot of email was sent, seemingly to everyone I've ever corresponded with from that account. There was clearly a login from Poland which corresponds exactly with when the emails began to be sent. The session seemed to last about 7 minutes. I then received about 150 "mailer daemon" emails due to the bounces from either old addresses, addresses which don't receive unsolicited email and mail servers which correctly identified the content as spam. Need help with managing a memorial page on a Wordpress site.

I run a Worpress site, hosted by Dreamhost. We are about to make a memorial announcement. This will drive a lot of traffic to the site, including hundreds of comments and potentially thousands of hits. I am the only one who runs the site and I need to be prepared. What do I need to do? How do I cure my Wordpress blog of this spam infection for good?

I have two Wordpress blogs on the same server, both of which have become exposed to some sort of vulnerability whereby occasionally the header file will be filled with JavaScript links and mentions of various enlargement techniques and erectile pharmaceuticals. I can delete the links but eventually they come back. I have closed the sites to comments, reinstalled the themes, reinstalled Wordpress and installed antispam systems but the vulnerability must lie in some part of the site (eg a previous comment or one of the scripts) where it can be re-used even if I update Wordpress. I don't have technical skills, so how can I find the source of this threat? If I have to install Wordpress from scratch, how can I export the content of the sites to the new install without bringing the spam with it?

Wuz she hax0r3d?

Wuz she hax0r3d?
Scenarios that explain this situation, please: Someone (not I) tries to connect to the 'Net on her AOHell account & gets an error message, the gist of which is "Ain't gonna log you on; reppy5 is already logged on to your account at another location." reppy5 is not one of the accounts/screen-names she has ever created. Has she been hacked? Used as a zombie? Hacked by a zombie? A zombie for what, for spam? [more inside]
