My girlfriend and I plan to go to Spain, leaving Christmas day and coming back a few days after New Years. We are interested in both activities and places it's just nice to be for a while. Spain is the primary destination here, but we're open to side trips into Andorra and/or Morocco. And, hey, how about the Baleric Islands? [more inside]

Are there any great mixed rural/small-town/semi-urban long walks in the U.S.? I'm searching for multi-day, maybe even multi-week routes that are not strict backpacking and would not require the carrying of a tent. More inside. [more inside]
Are there any home exchange websites specifically for rustic cabin-type dwellings? Looking to swap my place in Spain for something in the states. [more inside]
The sum total of my international traveling experience has been to take day trips into Baja (while I lived in LA) and day trips into Windsor (when I lived near Detroit,) two days in Toronto for my brother's wedding, and, oh yes, three hours walking around Niagara Falls last week because I was so happy I found my passport. Now I want to go to Europe, by myself, before my parents (who have been everywhere else first) beat me (they're going in September of 2011.) [more inside]

Myself and two friends are going to Las Canarias for the week before easter. We're flying into/out of La Palma, but we're interested in catching a ferry to other islands if there's cool stuff to do there. We're looking for recommendations for cool preferably cheapish things to do, places to eat, places to see, etc. [more inside]
In May I'll host my mother and sister for a 10-day European holiday, starting in Paris and flying out of Barcelona. It's my Mom's first time in Europe! How can I plan a trip that's unforgettably awesome but not too overwhelming? [more inside]

Help me plan an October European vacation (starting/ending in Madrid) on the cheap! [more inside]
I'm going on holiday to Spain with my mother. We're flying into Barcelona in August (bad time, I know!) for four days and then have 12 days to make our way to Casablanca before she starts a tour of Morocco. So I need to plan our time in Spain. I thought five days or so in Menorca, but it seems difficult to get to cheaply. I thought about catching a train to Valencia for a few days, then heading to Seville/Grenada/Cordoba before Morocco- what must we see or avoid? [more inside]
