When was the printer A. Martinez - Barcelona in operation?

I have old Spanish olive oil label, apparently from the 1930s. The printer's name, in small print at the bottom of the label, reads "A. Martinez" (although there is a slight chance that the "A." is actually an "R."). This name is followed by a dash and "Barcelona" and preceded by what looks like T* G*. The "asterisk" looks something like a superscripted yen (currency) symbol. All this is difficult to read because it is printed in black on a dark green background. The brand name of the olive oil is Vulcano.

DNA Word Problem

Family legend has it that our ancestors were Separdic Jews who fled Spain for Italy during the inquisition. My great-grandparents definitely came to Ellis Island from Italy, but they are as far back as we can trace. I am interested in seeing if this is true. I need help figuring out who should get tested and what test they should take. Family tree details inside. [more inside]

Last minute trips from Aberdeen to Portugal or Spain

At the very last minute, my mother has decided to take a trip from Aberdeen to Spain and Portugal. Ideally, she'd leave sometime this weekend or on Monday/Tuesday and spend a few days in each country - it doesn't matter much where in each country. UK-ers, any tips for agents or websites we can use to find reasonable flights? We were thinking of AirBnB for accommodations, but if you know of anything cheaper or easier, I'll take those recs too.

Good town to visit in Spain in the summer with young kids?

What's a good town or smallish city in Spain to visit in the summer with kids (ages 2 and 5) in tow? We're looking at 3 weeks in late July/August, and would prefer a walkable place that's on a train line (or are they all?) so we wouldn't have to rent a car to explore locally or beyond. [more inside]

I choo-choose you! To be the train car most likely to let me live!

In two of this year's notable high-speed train derailments--Compostella in Spain in July and the New York Metro North crash on Sunday--the train driver survived, but many of the passengers and crew, who were presumably in cars further back from the engine car, did not. Spooky forests, castles, places hippies flock to. Places where the guide books start the descriptions with "legend has it..." Fairy tale towns. Roman ruins. You get the idea. When was the Spanish printer Artes graficas del Rio in operation?

I have an old Spanish olive oil label. The printer's name/location, as they appear in fine print at the bottom the label, are as follows: ARTES GRAFICAS - DEL RIO - LUARCA. I am trying to determine the age of this label. Herminio Azcárate Campo died in 1944, but I don't know when he inherited his father's business, which was established sometime after 1891. The label can be viewed here. If I knew when this printer was in operation, I could get a better idea of when this label was in use. Any useful information on ARTES GRAFICAS - DEL RIO or Herminio Azcárate Campo would be appreciated.
