Twenty years before The Matrix

I'm looking for a movie: Scifi, set in space/on a spaceship, probably late 70s release, that has as a plot element humans hiding from a nefarious computer or machine that would stick a needle in the back of the person's head (possibly into a port) when person was caught.

Help me learn autonomous simulation

Help me find a book that is like "Diary of a Spaceperson" but is something else.

Please help me find when the moon disappears, so I can watch it.

Back about a decade ago, I happened to be watching in early evening as the moon went from thin sliver to complete disappearance. It was one of those unexpected and somewhat wondrous moments of my life (due to many circumstances of the time, and the unplanned coolness of it). I'd like to see it again. Is there some schedule for me to tell when this is going to happen again visible from my area? [more inside]

Space-Age Bachleor Pa-aaaah Oh God No!

Music Mix Filter: Long story short, next week the model at my event is coming dressed as the Alien Queen from the ALIEN movies. I have no idea what kind of music to play for the background. The film scores seem obvious but who wants to listen to clanking and increasing strings for 3 hours? I can either go scary-horror-sci-fi or campy-alien-novelty songs. Ideally I could do both. What kind of weird space music recommendations do you have? Gotta have songs about alien invaders?
