Help me make my garden tastier

I've never had a garden before. I recently bought a house in Canberra with a small established garden, mainly native Australian plants. It has a drip watering system. There isn't a lot of room, but there are a few things I have always wanted to grow, and I've got no idea whether it is possible to fit them in somehow, or where I should put them. I know I can't do anything until just before spring, but I want to start planning now. [more inside]

Seeking thoughts, insights, and ideas to deal with travel/transition feelings and frustrations.

For the last two+ months, and until October, I've been living out of a suitcase as I make a move overseas. There are aspects of this transition that are starting to wear on me and I'm looking for cheap/free ways to cope. [more inside]

Measurement-foo and shelf-fill rate help?

See a librarian’s brain asplode*! So my library is moving back into our building next summer. We have some 8,400 linear feet of bound serials* being moved into 15,500 linear feet of compact shelving*. We need to tell the mover what we want our fill rate* to be. Sounds easy, right?
