I've been making soy candles and have run into a small problem. I've poured the wax too soon/quickly and it has shrunk and cracked when it dried in the cups/jars. I'm looking for solutions to fix this please. Would putting the candles in a warm oven work? Pour new wax over? I can't find an internet solution so far, only what to do different for the next batch.

I am allergic to soy milk. As confirmed in my doctor's office today, I am not allergic to miso (we used straight miso paste to eliminate any doubts. It has been claimed that the fermentation process changes the protein enough that it doesn't trigger an allergy. I have considered doing the same test for tempeh but first wanted to see if there were people out there allergic to soy milk but not tempeh, as the prep for the test is quite uncomfortable and I would prefer not to do it if the likelihood of a good outcome is vanishingly small. Any experience with home soy milk makers? Packaged soy milk is so expensive, yet soybeans are pretty cheap, so I'm considering getting a home soy milk making machine. I did try making soy milk myself, manually, many years ago and was underwhelmed by the result, which tasted more like bean soup than milk, and it took a lot of time and effort and, apparently, skill. But these machines make it seem so easy even a child could do it and so cheap that I couldn't afford not to get one.
I've been interested in the growing chatter about biodiesel. Some friends raised an interesting question, though: peanut allergies are increasingly common and are increasingly lethal.
