Four+ days in Charleston and Savannah at the end of April. We've got a good list of things to see and do, now I turn to the HiveMind for food suggestions. [more inside]
We have 7-10 days for a road trip (leaving from Chicago in a couple days) and are thinking of exploring the South by car. Where should we stop, and what should we see? Thoughts we've had include driving towards Florida or Savannah and hitting Cattanooga, Asheville, Bowling Green, and/or Nashville. We will have one dog with us, so bonus points for State Parks or Forests where we can hike with her, but we'd like to see some towns or cities, too. Thank you, hive mind!
What is this bug, and how do I get rid of them? I have been frequently discovering them, mostly in the sinks (bathroom and kitchen) in an apartment building in Atlanta, Georgia. They are about 1/2" long. [more inside]
So I'm moving from Baltimore to Atlanta for work - yay, new job! Boo, leaving the East Coast! I've got a month remaining, so in the time between finishing my business here and taking deep breaths, what should I do here that I won't be able to do in the south? [more inside]
I have a follow-up to this Southern US road trip question. My route is firmed up, and I'd like recommendations for anything to see or skip between hotel stops. [more inside]
I'm going to Savannah, GA this weekend; so what should I see (and what should I avoid?)
I'm an Aussie who is going to be spending a month in northern Georgia, in the area of Cedartown/Tallapoosa visiting his girlfriend's mother and boyfriend for Christmas. I'm looking for cheap and interesting things to see and do in the area -the weirder the better. I'm not adverse to travelling into Atlanta. Any advice you could give would be much appreciated!
