I currently have a Sonos Play:1 and would like it to be a bit more mobile. I was thinking that utilizing some sort of portable power supply would be the best solution, but wasn't sure what I would need. [more inside]
My soundbar only works with Dolby Digital, so I'm trying to figure out how to make a Blu-Ray player work with it. Complicated details inside. [more inside]
I need a microwave oven that won't kill my Sonos wifi signal when I'm trying to prepare dinner and also listen to music... [more inside]
My friend has a multi-room Sonos system. I like the idea that he can pick up his phone/tablet, browse music, select something and have it play to one of the speakers in his house. I'd like to have this experience too - but not spend as much and limit it to only the stereo in one room. Will a Raspberry Pi running Plex plugged into a stereo give me this? [more inside]
I want to stream music from my turntable to a Sonos. Is it possible to stream from a phono preamp's RCA line out to a Sonos device? Bluetooth transmitters allow me to treat RCA line out as a Bluetooth source, and I believe I can receive this as an audio source on my Android phone, but is it possible to then send this signal on to a Sonos? Or, and this begins to look like an unstable kludge, do I need a Bluetooth transmitter from the phono preamp's line out, and then a Bluetooth receiver at the Sonos device's RCA line in?
We have a new Sonos Play 5 (just one for now) and are comparing the audio quality to a 40 year old small advent bookshelf speaker run from an equally old Luxman receiver. [more inside]
My house is pre-wired for Sonos, and has speaker cable running from the basement to 6 speakers embedded in the ceiling (2 ceiling speakers in each of 3 zones). I don't want to spend $1500 and I don't need to have more than one zone running at a time. What are my options? Since I have to hook up the receiver in the basement I'd want to control everything from my ipad/iphone (including the switch between zones) and have access to streaming music and streaming radio.
What devices/components do we need to store our music library centrally and access it throughout the house? Also, what's a good wireless speaker solution? [more inside]
How does HDTV output sound on Sonos speakers? I only see an analog in on the back of the speaker set. I am thinking about using an S5 as the primary speakers in my medium sized living room. Is the quality going to bug me? Is there a reason no reviews at all mention doing this? I use an AppleTV and Uverse on my Samsung, if that matters.
I'd like to transfer (iTunes) music off of an old PC and an even older iMac onto a NAS that plays nicely with our new Mac laptops and even newer Sonos system. I'd also like to use the NAS to automate backups for these two Mac laptops. And I'd like the NAS to back itself up onto a secondary drive. I'm new to networking and back-upping and would like a set it and forget it solution. [more inside]

Sonos is seriously bugging Mrs. HotBot and, by the transitive property of bugging, me. Help me out. [more inside]
