I've only heard the song twice in my life. The second time I managed to slam a cassette tape into a tape recorder, capturing the 2nd half of the song. That was thirty years ago. Haven't figured it out since. [more inside]
It's a short song, with a female vocalist and what sounds like acoustic guitar and violin/fiddle in the background, relatively fast-paced. I can't make out all the lyrics (it's on Store Radio at work) but the bits I've been able to work out are "remember the years when you and I were young and free" and "a knock at the door, I'm going to have company". Any ideas?
Hi Metafilter! Can you ID the song used as background music in this video for me? I was unsuccessful at Googling it based on the (Spanish?) lyrics. The only phrases I can clearly make out are "esta no voy a perder" and the oft-repeated "Oye!"
