Great song, maybe 5-10 years ago, kinda college/alt-rock lyric something like "and I walk like an Imperial Walker, and I walk"

What is this song? My brain "recognises" it but I can't place where I've heard it before and it's driving me mad.
Songfilter: There was a song that I was listening on the radio a while back that I'd like to listen to again but my google-fu is failing me. The song is a little slow with light female vocals, and one of the lines in the chorus was or sounded like "I assume, I assume, I assume." Does this ring a bell to anyone?
Cannot figure out the name of this song. It is driving me and my friends crazy. We hummed it for you though. Thanks!!!
what song is this? synthpop-sounding, melodic and upbeat but slightly melancholic as well. from what i can remember of the chorus may have been something about "rosanna" (not TOTO!). more vague descriptors within... [more inside]

My parents named me after a song called "Tahiti Tiare". I've been looking for copies of this song for a while and cannot find it. Can anyone help? [more inside]
Okay, I heard a song a few months ago. It sounds like a really epic Cheap Trick song. The lyrics are pretty sexually explicit (not a lot of dirty words, but highly erotic) and the singer sounds a bit like Edwyn Collins. [more inside]
Who sings the version of "Someone to Watch Over Me" on the latest episode of This American Life? It is incorrectly credited to, uh, Sting, on the TAL website. [more inside]
I'd be really thrilled if someone could tell me what song this is. It used to be popular(ish) on the radio in central Canada in the mid-90's and I *think* that the artist is Susan Aglukark (http://www.susanaglukark.com/) but I could be off on that. There are no words in the song that I can remember and it's really hard to google search on a melody. I've tried to create a picture of the notes (to the best of my ability) and I've also created a small mp3 file the overall melody (see tinyurl link - hopefully the ding-dong computer sound doesn't annoy you too much) I'd really appreciate your help with this - I've been singing this tune to people for years to try and figure out what song it is. I need to find the name of a musician. All I know is that he has a song or album called "Slide", that he's male, and that his last name has a hyphen in it. [more inside]
