Seeking Recommendations for Reliable Automatic (or Human) Transcription

I am a medical writer working on a large project. Part of this project will involve posting videos of physicians along with a transcript of whatever the speaker is saying. The topic tends to be fairly technical - the physicians will be using Technical Medical Terms that could confuse the average layperson. Length of the videos varies from three to twenty minutes. Grad school application without GRE score? What are they looking for?

I'm toying with the idea of getting a Masters program in the next year or two in a specific field within my current career path. Since the program is fairly unique, the school isn't requiring a GRE score for the application (although it's a top research university in the US on the West Coast). So what are they looking for in my application? How does not needing a GRE score change things? Lots of questions! [more inside]

Where is this online post about a software architecture model?

For the sake of my dwindling sanity, can anyone point me towards the blog post I read about a "concentric" model for data-driven software architecture? I've googled like mad but haven't come anywhere close to it because the only search terms I can come up with are either vague or have additional meanings that pollute the results. [more inside]

Does Line6 have looper effects pedal software?

I have an old Line6 GuitarPort with Gearbox 3.5 on a Windows laptop. Does anyone know if there is a Line6 plugin or other software available (from Line6 or elsewhere) that I can download to my laptop that will simulate a looper pedal (or a phrase looper as defined by wikipedia ). I'm trying to record the rhythm for a song I like, have it loop and then freestyle the solo on my guitar, all through my computer.

I'm looking for a web-based app (free or otherwise) or a hosted app which will handle membership for a non-profit / club. It needs to provide different membership levels, handle payments (via PayPal or Google Checkout), and provide some method for allowing members to renew or upgrade their memberships, change their info as needed, etc. It does not need to be free, even though that would be nice. MLM Management Software

My agency brought on a start-up MLM, and we need to provide software to manage the MLM salesforce, their downlines, commissions, etc. (Yeah, yeah... I know... ). Menumeters for Windows?

I have to start using Windows XP for a while, but I'm a Mac user. I'm trying to find equivalent software for the Windows machine. Specifically, I'm looking for a tool like MenuMeters, that can give a real time sampling of Network Throughput, CPU usage and RAM consumption. It would be great if the application could run in the background and consume very few CPU cycles, itself. And extra bonus points if the application is free.

Electronically filling in a PDF document not set up for input?

PDFFilter - I have a .pdf upon which I need to enter information (think of it like an application with blanks for application-y stuff like name and address). The .pdf is not a form, however. Currently, the only option seems to be printing the document and then using either a pen or a typewriter to fill in the blanks. There simply must be a way to get this information onto the .pdf electronically instead ... mustn't there? Your help is much appreciated.

Music software reccomendation needed: I'm looking for a very simple VSTi host application for Windows. All it needs to do is load a VSTi plugin and send external MIDI input to it - no sequencing, no effect chains. And, it needs to work on Windows 95.
