Mac-based Discovery / document review software?
Westlaw CaseLogistix nails the functions but is Windows-only.
Must have the ability to manage Bates-stamped PDF/TIF documents with embedded OCR text. Bonus for other file types in addition. Multiple networked users need to analyze/tag documents based on case-specific criteria.
It would be great if the information could be easily exported to an open format, but I know that's likely asking too much.
I searched through the
Macs In Law blog but didn't see any good candidates.
What do Mac-based law firms use?

I am looking for a "Magical Email Signature to Address Book (Mac) Contact Convertor"? In a perfect world I would like to have a browser plugin that would allow me to select several lines of text (ie. the boilerplate signature at the end of someones email) and then would convert the information into a vCard or import it into Apple's Address Book program. Does this exist somewhere? I have looked with no luck.

My mom is a graphic designer and uses Quark. She just switched from a PowerPC based Macbook Pro to an Intel based MacBook Pro. Using the new Macbook Pro, she can't seem to open the Quark files she created using the old MacBook pro. It produces an error saying something about the processor. Is there a nice program for converting such files?

What are the Mac equivalents of great Windows software?
This was a great question about what a Mac person should install on a Windows box. I'm going the other way, as my office kindly bought me a new MacBook Pro. I'm a scientist and haven't used a Mac since OS 7.5. For the past decade my machines have been Windows, Linux, or dual-boot. Freeware/shareware programs I use a lot under Windows: Cygwin, Essential PIM, FLVplayer, IrfanView, Maxima, Openoffice.org, Scilab, Winamp, Xemacs, Xplorer2 pro. Commercial software: Mathematica, IDL, occasionally Microsoft Office. I'm mostly interested in freeware or shareware such as great text and image editors, tex/latex, and other nerdware. Thanks! Naturally, the new laptop runs Leopard.

Playing with the new version of Apple's Keynote I'm really impressed with the software. However, I never really have cause to do a presentation needing slides. Still, Keynote being part of the iWork suite I have it anyway, and it seems like a waste not to use it.
What other sorts of things, besides, presentations, could an individual use Keynote for?

Is it possible to get the folders of templates and styles from someone? I don't want a copy of your disk or to do anything illegal, but if someone had the program installed and could copy only those folders, I don't think it would constitute copyright infringement ... or would it?
