Why should I use Adobe's applications? Of course, I realise I don't have to if I don't want to. However, I'm a subscriber to their Creative Cloud programme, primarily for Photoshop / Indesign /Illustrator. I already use the competitors to many of the other applications in the bundle. Are there any pressing reasons for me to use the Adobe versions? Please explain to me, but please:
without denigrating the applications I already use.

At work earlier this year I was asked to put together an infographic style chart for a quarterly report. I used
Adobe's Project Rome since it was a very easy to use graphic design outfit that could be used free and in-browser. I've been using it each quarter for our reports and I last used it right before the holidays and started a rough draft. But when I went to finish it today the entire Rome program seemed to be completely gone from Adobe's website. Now what?

Is there a legitimate way to buy discount software for a high-school student? My son, a sophomore in high school, is enjoying a class that makes heavy use of Photoshop CS4. We'd like to get him CS4 for the computer he uses at home (Vista, 4 GB memory), but it's very expensive. I know there are discounts for college students. We'd rather not use 'warez' sites. Thanks!

Does anybody know of anyplace I can get a cheap legal copy of Adobe Illustrator CS2 and Photoshop CS2? I would be fine purchasing a used copy if it was completely legal. I do not have the money right now to buy the software at the normal retail price but would like to learn them. Also, if I were to buy a used product from eBay, what should I make sure it includes to make it a legal copy? Cheers!

Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional: I've got a document with several hundred links in it. Right now, they're all invisible; I'd like to change them all to dotted rectangles of a particular color. Is there any way to change the appearance of every link in the document simultaneously? "Make this the default appearance" doesn't do it; it only affects the links you make in the future. Help?
