3 coworkers want to plan a 4-5 day ski trip, probably to Colorado, in mid-to-late March. Convenience is key (we want to spend more time skiing and less time traveling), budget is roughly $1,000-$2,000 (including airfare, transit, lodging, ski/board+boot rentals, and lift tickets). Where do we go?

I'm going to get lessons to ski or snowboard for my very first time. This will be at
Windham Mountain.
Either looks like fun. If I have to pick one for my first outing on this mountain, and with this mountain's beginner classes, and this season's snow, which should I choose?

What is the best way to get two snowboards (and associated gear) from Seattle, Washington to Aspen, Colorado if we don't know where we will be staying while there? Flying with the snowboards would be hugely inconvenient, since travel plans include two continents and several cities with extended stopovers before we eventually meet up in Aspen for NYE.

Does it exist yet? - A ski boot for super wide feet that uses snowboard boot type material on the outside part of the foot, but is hard plastic otherwise? (I have a wide foot and only snowboard boots are comfortable for me)

Going with a Swedish friend to escape insane work schedule for a week or so in mid-April. Both in our late-twenties. Never been down in the Alps skiing before, so want to get a good feel for it. Money is not an issue if the experience is good (within reason people...).
Looking for a nice comfortable hotel, good slopes, fun people, good food, _great_ scenery. (We're used to the beauty of Sweden/Norway, so needs to be up there :)

I have a 10 year old snowboard and am getting back into using it this season. It works fine, but I'm not 16 any more and I can afford something better. I know that skis have undergone a sea change since I stopped regularly skiing, is this also true for snowboards? Is it worth upgrading to a new board for a competent, but casual, snowboarder?

I was up in the mountains this morning and got curious about avalanches. Specifically: has anyone skied (or ridden) post-avalanche snow? Does it act like powder, hard-pack, or something totally different? Bonus points if anyone's done this in the Tahoe area.

Recommend a good snowboard shop in Denver ? I'm flying into DIA and have a few days for a little road trip to Steamboat. I'm after my first board, maybe a Bataleon or Lib Tech. Would it be cheaper to buy in Steamboat or pickup on the way ? I may even pop into Boulder, if there are some good shops there. Thanks !

I'm going to learn to snowboard this winter. I have at least a month to prepare. What sort of exercises and activities can I do to increase my fitness for this activity? I have access to a gym, skating rink, hiking, biking, etc., and a recently acquired snowboard that is sitting in my livingroom.

I'm looking for a resort in Tahoe that has both (a) good beginner snowboarding trails and (b) snowshoe trails. Nice to haves: group snowshoe outings and snowshoe rentals.

How much should I budget to both equip myself and my wife for snowboarding and get us enough instruction so that we enjoy it? I mean, we own
nothing with the possible exception of some gloves we could use, and we want to get ourselves outfitted and capable of boarding happily all day at places like Heavenly or Whistler. What will this cost, or, barring that, what do we need to budget for?

I'm looking for gift ideas for a family member who is into snowboarding. He already has all the basics but I do know he needs a new pair of goggles (which shouldn't be hard to find).
I'm also interested in any cool accessories that you could recommend beyond the basic stuff your average snowboarder would have. The price range I'm looking for is around $50.
Thanks in advance!

I'm taking a snowboarding trip to Wyoming this winter break and I will be using a plane at least three times during this period. Naturally, I will be carrying a snowboard and all my other equipment on the plane. How should I go about protecting my board? Should I just use a soft case to protect from scratches or should I be more concerned? Also, are there any products anyone can specifically recommend?
