I love citrus generally, but I was just thinking about how I really, really love
satsumas - but haven't seen them in the local Whole Foods in a while. I'm in NYC - where can I go now, and generally, to get some delicious satsumas?

What did we eat? We went for banh mi (Vietnamese hoagies) and they had other goodies in a deli case. We bought some kind of small squares, about one inch per side, and maybe 3/8" thick. Each was topped with a slice of onion and a slice of jalapeño. Inside each was a whole peppercorn. It was weirdly pink - at first we thought it was some kind of sweet bean dessert. Ground, pickled(?) pork. What are they called?

I've been bitten by the baking bug! I need help figuring out what combination of 2 different recipes (1 savory, 1 sweet) would be perfect for a morning office meeting of 5-6 people that will survive not being refridgerated. Also, simplicity is best since I've only just started to foray into baking. (More details inside.)

Paprika chips: are these available in the U.S.? I was in Europe last year and it seemed like every country had paprika potato chips from different brands (even Pringles). I can't seem to find any store/brand in the U.S. that has these. They're so good! Yeah there...I just used my ask mefi question on potato chips.

The Übersnack: I'm trying to find something small and dense, like a powerbar, but cheaper and tastier. It shouldn't be super-sweet, and as an added bonus it would be cool if it had some sort of buzz-factor, like ginseng or the like. This is for use in marathon writing sessions in the library, so I don't have to take breaks to eat. So it can't be messy. I could just load up on jerky and fig newtons, but was hoping the collective cleverness of the mefisphere might have better suggestions.
