Healthy smoothie suggestions please.

Looking for suggestions for nutritionally well-balanced smoothies that can replace meals. During the week, I'm too tired after work to cook a proper meal so I figured a good smoothie could do the trick. I just don't know where to start. Since it will be replacing a meal, what things should I add to it to get optimal nutrition? A friend of mine suggested wheat grass, but I have no experience with that. I do not use dairy or any other animal products. Thanks!

smooooothies

Give me your recipes for your favorite savory and non-traditional smoothies. When I was in Thailand I tried many smoothies - cucumber-mint, tomato, apple-ginger, and they were all so delicious and refreshing. I've been trying to recreate some of those at home, but they come out really gross, I can barely get myself to swallow some of the stuff I made - I don't know what I am doing wrong.

So please give me your tried-and-true recipes for any savory or non-traditional flavors, nothing is too weird for me, it just needs to taste good and I'm sick of regular fruit smoothies. Fruit in combination with other things is OK though!

Thanks!

Do I need a LLC to protect myself from torts?

I am preparing for my first business. Its a pedal-powered smoothie stand for my local farmers market. I'd like to allow customers to pedal their own smoothies while protecting myself from lawsuits (ex: customer sprains ankle while stepping off bike, or has a heart attack). Question 1: At first I thought I could just be a sole proprietor. I'm 20 years old and have less than $5,000 of assets someone could take, BUT I'm still claimed as a dependent on my mother's taxes. Does my dependent status allow a prosecutor to go after her assets as well?

Question 2: How would an LLC protect me in this situation? I understand an LLC is a separate entity from me, could that veil be easily penetrated? Why do personal trainers have fitness insurance and have their clients sign a waver saying that they understand the health risks involved with moving around and sweating? I don't want to have my customers sign a piece of paper before pedaling for 15 seconds.

Question 3: Should I consider having commercial insurance?

My smoothie stand will be in Maryland if that helps adapt your answers.

Suggestions for a natural preservative/stabilizer for smoothies?

Suggestions for a natural preservative/stabilizer for smoothies? I'm recently started weight-training again, and I'm making a lot of fresh-fruit smoothies. Its becoming problemattic though; I live in a shared house and I'm waking everyone up in the morning with the sound of the blender, and there's some waste as I tend to make more than I need to drink.

I'm wondering whether there's a natural stabilizer I could add to the smoothies so I could prepare a batch to keep in the refrigerator for a couple of days without them separating.

Any suggestions?

I'm on a health kick...

Your favorite smoothie recipe? A few years ago I remember browsing through a fruit smoothie recipe book that had a lot of really healthy recipes- minimized added sugars, several with green juices, soy proteins, berries, anti-oxidants etc...

I can't remember/ find this book so I'm asking meFites for recommendations...

I'm looking for good-tasting, healthy smoothie recipes (I've tried some with a lot of the above mentioned healthy- energy ingredients that were- maybe a little too intense).

Thanks!

Smoothie Tips.

How do I recreate a Jamba Juice in my kitchen? I'm a Jamba Juice addict, and get smoothies there constantly. I want to cut out the middleman and start making the same smoothies at home.

1) How can I get their recipes? They're posted in plain sight for the employees, so I'd think someone would have posted them online by now, but I haven't been able to find them. Failing that, what's another good resource for recipes?

2) Suggestions on what blender to use? My JJ uses Vita-Mix blenders, but I've also heard good things about BlendTec blenders.

3) Any tips on how/where to get good juice and frozen fruit cheaply? Time is not necessarily a factor, so I'm open to juicing al the fruit myself, but I assume that would be tough to do well (or maybe require expensive machinery).
