MacbookProFilter: I migrated my old user onto my new macbook, and carried with it a bunch of problems (slow startup, rapid battery life loss, etc.). Is there a clever, systematic way to migrate chunks of my user account to a new user?

In Excel 2011 for Mac, everything slows to a crawl if I cut or copy a large number of cells. Is there any way to fix this? If not, is there a different spreadsheet program that could do this quickly?

My Mac just got very sluggish. Common actions like typing, scrolling, clicking app controls, etc. cause the beachball to appear for 5-10 seconds. This happens across applications. Please help me figure out what's wrong.

Mac gurus: the last couple of days my 867 TiPowerbook has been behaving erratically. The transfer rate of the harddrive seems to have slowed right down, so even though the drive sounds normal, it's accessing
all the time. Lots and lots of drive activity and pinwheeling, but barely any results.
