Is there a formal name for a part of a movie that shows the same scene 3 or 4 times, sometimes from different angles or in slow motion (or both)? [more inside]

I saw a thread about DOS games, but I'm wondering - I can play DOS games on my system, but my modern computer's speed makes most games move too fast to be that enjoyable (I'm thinking of the original Oregon Trail, in particular). Is there any way to slow them down, or is this a lost cause?
