Happy Feet slippers around Austin?

Where can I buy Happy Feet slippers in or near Austin, TX? Alternatively, where can I buy other fun/novelty slippers for kids in or near Austin? Hoping to luck out on this one. Is anyone aware of where Happy Feet slippers are for sale in Texas, ideally within an hour by car of Austin, TX?

The slippers look like cartoonish oversized sneakers, and I've seen them in other states in mall kiosks.

The website doesn't list locations, although an article [pdf] about the company says that there are 190 locations in forty states.

I tried the 800 number and got voicemail (large volume of holiday calls, etc.), and I emailed them to ask. No response so far. The website's "Live Chat" feature is offline as of this post.

Has anyone seen them? Any tips? I'd like to get them today!

As a backup, what places in Austin definitely sell fun/novelty slippers in big kid sizes? (Animals, paws/claws, giant-and-fluffy, look like other stuff, that kind of thing.) Thanks!

Where to find cheap, warm slippers fast?

I need a pair of under $20 slippers as a stocking stuffer. Requirements: -men's, available in size 9 or 10, reasonably sized (not one size fits all/most)
-warm and comfortable
-easily washable
-preferably soles that can withstand a small amount of walking on pavement (like getting the morning paper)
-I can have them by Christmas (order online, by phone, or in person. I have access to Macy's, Sears, Dillard's, Target, and some others)
-preferably black or at least dark colored

I just found out my boyfriend has need of these, and I want to get them for him, but I have no idea where to start looking! Thanks in advance!

Slippers!

My slippers are soon to thrown out with the rubbish, but before I rush out and buy some new ones I have few requirements. They need to be warm, comfy and not kill me when I'm walking downstairs. Also they should have some grip on the sole so I can safely walk in the garden without slipping when it's wet.

P.S. I'll accept all recommendations (however wacky) so if you think slipper socks (e.g.) are what I need let me know.

The perfect slippers

Please help me find (online, or in a major Canadian store) some slippers that fit the following strict requirements: fluffy on the inside, thick comfy sole, and, most importantly, are closed around the heel without being a boot. It seems that everything I find that fits the first two requirements is clog-style, and that absolutely won't do. The closest I can find are moccasins, but the gift recipient doesn't like leather/fur. Any suggestions?

Slippers that Make My Feet Happy?

I am looking for the best men's slippers in the world. Help please. I have a pair of slippers that aren't really meeting my needs and I need some recommendations from other men who have found the perfect pair. One problem with my current slippers is that even though they have a rubbery sole at the bottom, I can still feel things that I don't want to feel through them such as pebbles when I go outside to get the paper or my kid's Legos on the floor. Even if I am walking on just the floor my feet sometimes hurt because I can feel the pounding through the slippers. Also, I need something that keeps my feet warm, very warm. And I will be wearing these with socks most of the time so furriness is not an issue, but fluffiness is. I would like something that feels like walking on a cloud. Also, my current pair has a leather lace that I have to tie every hour or so. So I'm not sure if I want a straight up slip-on or a lace-up that works better than my current pair, but something that I don't have to tie so many times in a day. And looks don't matter to me at all. I would like these slippers to be so comfy that I look forward to wearing them every day. A good pair of slippers is worth its weight... Thanks all.

Where can I find some slippers that don't look like slippers?

Where can I find some slippers that don't look like slippers? I work a job where I'm at a computer 95% of the time. At my old job, which was a little "less professional", if you will, I used to bring in a pair of slippers (which, by the way, are awesome). However, at my current job I feel wearing slippers would seem unprofessional. It's a jeans-and-a-polo sort of place, mostly.

So, I'm looking for either some slippers that don't look like slippers, or really comfy shoes, I guess. There are some crocs that look like they have a comfy liner, though crocs really wouldn't do. Maybe some boat shoes with a comfy liner? I'd need something with a rubber or other durable liner so things like trips to the bathroom or walking to/from my car won't trash them.

If what I'm looking for doesn't exist, what are some comfy types of shoes? The majority of my shoe purchases have been sneakers.

What can I do about my (freezing) cold feet?

How can I keep my ice-cold feet warm, or reheat them once they do get cold? I get cold feet. So cold that I frequently lose feeling in my toes while wearing shoes and socks in a room that is of comfortable temperature to the rest of my body. So cold that when I go to bed at night, and turn my heated mattress pad onto 'high', it takes (literally) two+ hours for them to heat through. So cold that I have to move them around the bed for a long time because anywhere I put them actually makes the bed cold. My feet keep me awake and feeling uncomfortable most winter nights. Any touch of my toes to my partner at night sends him howling. They're awful little blocks of ice.

This happens every winter, all my adult life. I've tried slippers, and they do nothing. Wearing shoes and socks until bedtime does nothing either. When I was in my early 20s I used to take a shower every night before bed, just to warm my feet through, and it worked... But my current lifestyle just won't allow it. Also my skin is getting much drier as I get older and two showers a day would probably cause some scaly issues.

Any recommendations from anyone who's beat this problem? I've looked at microwave heated slippers and electric foot warmers. I'm wondering if the microwave slippers are actually effective, if they can put out enough heat not to be made completely cold by my feet. The reviews of electric foot warmers I've read are not so great, often saying the "warming" function is a joke. I've also wondered if one of those paraffin baths would fix my problem, but I'm not sure if it would get expensive to use it every day for 4 months a year. Or if they're meant to be used in such a way.

Any ideas greatly appreciated. To have my feet just be at body temperature when I go to bed would be a godsend.

I apologize if this has been asked and answered before. Searching for "cold feet" obviously returned a lot of nonrelevant stuff.

Born Slippy

Where can I order a large quantity (like 50-100) of slippers on the cheap? Most of them will probably only be worn once so quality is not a concern. Time and price are. I need them by the end of the month. They're for a plush chill room at a rave-style party that needs to be shoeless.

Are there any attractive slippers out there? Since moving into a house that is much colder than the condo I used to own, I have been buying things to keep me warm: an electric blanket, eight pairs of wool work socks, a very plush bathrobe, and ugly slippers. I’m now on a mission to find myself some not-ugly slippers. I do not want my slippers to make my feet look (much less sound) like something off a Sesame Street prop table. I do not want my slippers to look like recycled toilet seat covers. I definitely don't want them to be made out of repurposed feminine hygiene products. I'd like something with a bit of style to them, if not actual elegance. Years ago I had some very fetching velvet mules, but I'm damned if I can find anything like that now.

What are your favourite comfortable and warm yet attractive slippers, and where did you get them? Alternatively, if you know of a nice slipper pattern, go ahead and link to it — I can do just about anything in the way of needlework – knitting, sewing, crocheting, embroidery, etc. If you’ve just got a picture of the ultimate slippers, go ahead and link to that because I usually can create my own pattern and directions from a good picture.

Perfectly plain leather slippers

Where can I buy the perfect unlined leather slippers of yester-yore? I once had a pair of moccasin style slippers that were made of thick, relatively unfinished leather. They were unlined and wore like iron. Unfortunately they developed a stank and my wife threw them out. As I recall they were called "Foot Furnace" and they were made in Greene, Maine but I can not locate that company or any slipper maker in Maine. Any suggestions?

Where can I buy a pair of bunny slipper in a large (EUR47 UK12M US13M) size?

Winter is approaching, and I need a decent pair of Bunny Slippers (you know the kind, fuzzy and with long ears). The problem: I take a size 47 shoe (european, that's a Men's 12 in the UK and a Men's 13 in the US), and nobody sells them that large. Does anybody have any leads on people that would sell them in my size? If they'll do shipping to the Netherlands it would be useful, but any leads are useful. (I've tried froogle, and the only other option I can think of is getting taxidermic on regular bunny cuddly toys. Other suggestions are appreciated too.)
