My partner and I are "eloping" this weekend. (More on that below the fold.) We'd like to put together a slideshow to announce this to our families and friends. How can I make a slideshow so that I can send a single link to all parties, and they'll get an auto-playing slideshow when they click the link. I don't want to use PowerPoint, because many of them won't have it. What I really want to avoid is having the older relatives seeing the word "eloped" and not being able to view the playful explanation inside the slideshow. Thoughts?

One of my aunts has a slideshow of her life (meaning actual slides in a slide projector) that has been matched with some music on cassette tapes. My aunt's family would like this transferred to DVD. They lack the technical know-how and money to get this done, so they've turned to me for help. If I had time, I could convert the slides and cassettes to digital format. I don't have time. I

I need to make about 3-4 different jpeg slideshows that can be burned to a DVD. Nothing fancy, but it would be nice to add text to the images ( I have Photoshop, so that's not critical), and be able to control the speed (very critical) to maybe 30 seconds per slide/jpeg. Total images would be less than 50. Autoplay a plus. I am using Windows 7, and love simple to use free stuff, but would pay 50-100 if it is worth it. What am I looking for?

Is there a way to view all the pictures posted on someone's photo blog (not mine) as a slideshow?
The blog I'm thinking of posts pictures regularly and I'd like to be able to paste the RSS feed into a program that will draw out the pictures and allow me to view them as a slideshow. The trick would be to have the all the pictures from every post ever posted be drawn into the slideshow (it might be nice to be able to randomize it as well, rather than have the pictures show in typical reverse chronological order).
I'm really surprised this technology doesn't seem to exist yet.
