Hope for sleepless brain

You are not my doctor, but I'm writing in the hope that someone has had a similar experience and might be able to help me see my way through this difficult situation. I've had a month of extremely strange experiences with psychoactive drugs, and I'm wondering if someone might reassure me that this situation is reversible. (Warning: long, messy situation ahead.) Looking for sleep-inducing podcasts

Sleep sounds: do you have any podcasts or music you find it useful to listen to to help you to fall asleep? Or recommendations which might fit the criteria of the podcasts I currently use to help me to fall asleep - calm voices, very few sudden increases in speech volume or musical interludes, subject matter which is interesting but not urgent. Why won't my cat let me sleep?

My cats are nocturnal! Which was never a problem until, a few weeks ago, one of them started getting really irritating at night. She will scratch a piece of furniture or wall, making that wonderful knife-sharpening sound, until she sees that my wife or I are awake (usually this involves us yelling or throwing something, but I've noticed that even rolling over or lifting a head to look, will make her stop). This happens 6 or 7 times a night. The other one is usually fine but now they get in fights every night. Nothing in particular has changed in our, or presumably their, lives. They seem healthy and otherwise happy. What gives? [more inside]

We are coming up to hay fever season where I live and I usually suffer badly for a week or two every spring. Here is something I have wondered for years: why does a nose that sometimes drips and runs continuously for sixteen hours a day dry up and stop for the other eight while I am asleep?
