I'm sick of going to sleep at 8am and waking up at 2pm due to a messed-up sleep cycle. I read/saw today that you can re-set your sleep cycle in just one day by fasting for 12-16 hours before the time you want to wake up. Has anyone tried this? Does it actually work?

I keep good sleep hygiene. I have herbal tea and a warm bath/shower an hour before bed. I take 50-75 mg of Benedryl (or equivalent) every night. I'm still only sleeping 3-4 hours a night. I can't take Ambien because it makes me sleepwalk. Ideas?

My husband falls asleep in front of the TV four or five nights a week. He says this is the only way he can get to sleep. I hate sleeping alone and this has become a Big Issue. Should I let this go and if not, how can I communicate more effectively?

Sleeping together.... no I mean SLEEPING together ... is it still common among partners living together? I always found I got much better sleep alone in my own bed but when partners sleep in separate beds, others seem to think something is wrong with the relationship. What's the common practice/s around the world?

Whenever I dream, stairwells, elevators, and large buildings with multiple levels always figure prominently. There'd be nothing strange about this except a) my daily life does not involve stairwells, large buildings, or elevators in any way, and b) they're in absolutely every dream I have -- no exceptions. This has been going on for at least a year, possibly longer. What could be possibly be causing this?

I have a 15-hour layover in Madrid, 10pm-1pm on a Monday night (ouch, but definitely worth it overall in this case). General advice or any personal experience there would be much appreciated! I'm looking for spots in the airport to sit and work on my laptop (ideally even with electrical outlets) and spots for a quick nap or some sleep. I'm fine sleeping in chairs. I'll only have two small pieces of hand luggage. The airport is mostly smoke-free and I need that, so buses into the city probably won't work for me. I've seen
this. Thanks!

SnoreFilter: Apparently, I have a giant uvula. One that's flopping around in my throat at night and keeping my girlfriend up with its monsterous noise. At least, that's what the ENT doctor said. She recommended
Radiosurgery to either shave the uvula down or remove it completely and make more space in my throat. Has anyone heard of/had this procedure done?
