My T-Mobile contract expires in a couple months, and I'm considering ditching smartphones entirely and getting a tablet, instead. Anyone have any experience with this? Especially VoIP experience. [more inside]

Starting in about a month, my wife and I will both be working from home a fair amount. We are both on the phone a lot.
We want to pay as little as possible and are trying to figure out how to deal with the phone situation. I currently use Google Voice and make and receive most of my calls on the home phone, which works well for me.
I'm not sure how to deal with the apparent need for 2 phones. Both of us have cell-phones, but we're on the phone so much that we'd rather not be on the cell phones all day. We could obviously just get a 2nd Google Voice number for incoming calls, but I'm not sure how to deal with receiving or making calls while the other person is on the home phone.
Thoughts? Should we get a Skype or Vonage number? Just get a 2nd landline? Any good free/cheap options that I'm missing? We're in Portland, OR if that matters. Thanks!

I will be living in Mumbai for 11 weeks next summer. I have an unlocked iPhone 3G. What is my best bet in terms of carrier and plan for the cheapest and most reliable data access? I plan to do local calls over the cell phone voice network and international calls via Skype on the iPhone.
Thanks in advance!

Is there a telephone support number for Skype? I'm having a problem with their billing and as far as I can tell this phone company does not have a phone.
The E-mail support is not great either, which is why I'm looking for another way to get in touch.

Skype with a Mac.. I'm thinking of starting to use Skype, but there's one thing holding me back. What wireless USB phones are compatible with the Mac, and where can I get them in the UK? I know Ipevo now provide drivers for the Free-1 phone, but wireless is important to me - without it my wife will never use it.
