Best prices on ski rentals & lift passes at Steamboat near the Sheraton?

Next month we're staying at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort in Steamboat Springs, CO, paid in part thanks to a conference that my spouse is attending there. We'd like to rent skis for a couple of half-day ski outings, and are wondering what the best option is. The Sheraton has its own attached rental store and we've used them in the past, but we thought they were a bit on the expensive side. Is there anything less expensive within walking distance?
