I'm thinking about getting a pair of Doc Martens: questions about sizing and quality issues. [more inside]
I need to buy (NNN) cross-country ski boots for classic-style skiing, mostly day tours in the back country. My local ski shop sells them for $200 (for these) or $400 (for these). Those are their only two options. Ebay often seems to have boots for about $50 (with $50 extra for postage to Australia). If I know my size in one brand (from hiring boots in the past), how transferable is it to another boot in the same brand, or to another brand I haven't tried? Is it madness to buy ski boots without trying them? Alternatively, I am likely to be in Minneapolis in January. Should I wait and look for boots there? Are they heaps cheaper in the USA? I'm from Canada and I am attending a conference and need to select my t-shirt size from a supplier in Denmark. Does anyone know how a women's 2XL compares to a 3XL in Denmark - like what the bust and waist measurements are? Would these sizes be similar to a US/Canada 2XL and 3XL? Here is the polo t-shirt that we're getting. Thank you!!

I am an admin for a university English department. I want to order some promotional t-shirts for the department to give mostly to our students, both undergraduate and graduate. What ratio of t-shirt sizes should I buy? I.E. I know I should probably get more mediums than smalls, but does anyone have any good statistics for the average distribution of sizes people tend to like? Bonus points for a link to a page that discusses this issue.

Why don't stores stock more small sizes in mens clothing? The XS/S items sell out immediately, and the L/XL/XXL items are always left over on clearance. This makes my clothing options limited and expensive. What gives? [more inside]
I would like to inquire about some t-shirts; more specifically, I'm interested in plain t-shirts that will fit someone (myself) who is tall and slender. More often than not, I find that plain t-shirts are built for the more... portly of my fellow North Americans: often the size difference between a medium and a large is not length but the width of the waist. Is there anywhere you have discovered--online or otherwise--that has well-made t-shirts that will fit someone of my build?
I want to purchase a t-shirt from an American site. Are the sizes - which are, in this case, small, medium, large, and so on - the same as they are in NZ (or the UK)? [more inside]
I wear a 13 6E in whatever goofy sizing New Balance uses. I need something wider and I can't find anything out there. Does anyone make anything above a 6E width or am I screwed? Would moving up to a 14 6E give me some extra width?
