I have an ongoing research project to document and map locations of camp meetings, which originate in 19th century religious revivals. I've mapped more than 50 (listed inside), including some famous ones like Oak Bluffs, MA, Bay View, MI, and Indian Springs, GA, and am now looking for others. I'm interested in three kinds of sites: current active camp-meetings that still operate as a religious camp or revival; "legacy" sites where the camp meeting evolved into a town or incorporated secular association; and defunct sites where a camp once was before being abandoned. Any and all links, vague memories, and coordinates welcome! [more inside]

Someone has created a site via Google Sites that is radically defaming myself and my family. We're not talking about a 12 year playing a prank. It's a systematic attack with the most egregious accusations one can imagine. They're parroting my personal business site and posting info that is not only libelous, but fantastically horrible. The junk they've posted about myself, my wife and our two small children is heartbreaking. We believe we know who it is (but have no proof) and have contacted the FBI on advice of a lawyer. They've told us they'll call us once they get jurisdiction figured out and the cybercrime guys take a look. The kind SAIC looked at the site and understood the problem but only got the ball in motion. That could take weeks/months for them to move on this and the site needs to come down, now. HOW? Hello all, We are a small language instruction company with an idea to make some extra revenue and promote our own website. We want to create a wordpress membership site that users can subscribe to with daily dripped content. My question is whether it's a good idea to integrate this into our existing website or should it have it's own domain. And are there any technical problems that could arise from the integration idea? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

I'm looking for good mobile websites that are mainly text and update often, with individual content brief enough that I can finish reading by the time the bus comes. Despite what it might imply, texts from last night perfectly encapsulates what I want. I just want more of it. And maybe for it to be informative on top of entertaining. Just something internet-y that I can browse for 3-5 minutes at a time.

I've tried "sites like" on google but have come up short. Has anyone else seen this site?
Any Cloudy Nights folks on MeFi? My wife and I will be going camping for the first time with our new 5th wheel camper. We want to go to Watertown New York but are not exactly sure where to stop along the way. We know we want to make two stops before reaching Watertown, once in Virginia and once in Pennsylvania. In Virginia, we would like to stop near the Shenandoah National Forest - a site in the Southern, Middle, or Northern section would be good. In Pennsylvania, we would like to stay somewhere in between Harrisburg and Scranton. Both places we stop must have electricity. Does anyone have any suggestions on some good places to stop? Also, are there any RV Web sites you would suggest that provide listings of places to camp in these areas?
