What was that video called?

What's this kids sing-along video I'm remembering from the '80s? When I was very young (in the mid to late '80s) I had a VHS sing-along tape that I watched all the time. Just to satisfy my own weird curiosity, I'm trying to figure out what it was now. It's like an itch that I can't scratch.

The theme was using your imagination. At one point somebody says "it's scientifically impossible… but imaginatively true" or something to that effect. I remember that all the sets were very sparse. There were a number of kids, and a pirate villain who becomes friendly at the end.

Some of the songs that I remember:

Yellow Submarine
Going on a Bear Hunt
Pop Goes the Weasel (I think?)
STOP… In The Name of Fish (before you go kersplish)

Is this ringing any bells? I'm just trying to get a title so I can look it up on IMDb or maybe find some clips on YouTube to jog the old memory. I'm suspecting this video was pretty obscure.

Get Along Little Dogies

What guitar tunes should I learn for a post- trail ride bonfire? I am going on a trail ride and would like to brush up on some songs to play and sing around the bonfire. This ride will take place in Texas with a wide range of ages. I have "Mamas, Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys" down. Classic country and western or cowboy songs that aren't too complicated to memorize would be great. What kind of songs would you like to sing or hear after a hard day on the trail?

Hoping to listen to the Singalong Sound of Music with audience participating.

Can anyone help me find an audio version of the Singalong Sound of Music with the audience participation included in the recording? I am not looking for a short clip (the only things I've managed to find so far) but rather, the entire show. Thanks.

Guitar cram session

I'm looking for some songs to play on my guitar... I'm going on a ski trip this weekend with a bunch of friends and I'd like to bring my guitar. Problem is, I don't know a whole lot of "recognizable" songs, and I'd like to get everyone singing along. So, I'm looking for song recommendations with the following criteria:

-very well-known lyrics
-easy to moderate chord changes/strumming patterns

Genre isn't terribly important, but we're all in our mid-twenties, so I'm guessing pop, rock, or classic rock would go over better than anything else. I'd like to learn as many as possible in the next few days, or at least carry a binder chords/lyrics, so nothing too extravagant or complicated. Barre chords are ok.

Show Me How To Rock!

I've been listening to the Black Kids' "Wizard of Ahhhs" EP for about the past four hours, and I'm loving it for all the same reasons I love The Go! Team. I guess I just love a catchy, groupy, poppy-but-will-also-rock-your-socks-off sound. Does anyone have suggestions for other similar acts I should check out?

Can you help us pick a song to retrofit as we bid our friend farewell?

I need a simple pop song that can be retrofitted for a farewell party. Have a decent acoustic guitar player, and a team of writers standing by to rework the lyrics to pay homage to our departing friend. What songs could semi-skilled singers use to good effect, and not mangle? Qualities we're looking for:

1. Instantly recognizeable. Part of the joke is in knowing the original tune, from the music.

2. Not terribly complicated guitar part. He's good, but he's acoustic, so heavy metal noodling is right out.

3. Not chockablock with high notes. We're guys, and we're not really good singers. But we're game.

One example we've messed with a bit is the Pearl Jam version of "Last Kiss," for example. Can you please suggest others for us to consider?
